Would anybody keep Ibaka over Westbrook?  You can make a decent case for it now that Ibaka's scoring more.

Spoiler: I wouldn't.

If you're playing by the rules we have, I think you have to go Ibaka.

Durant: 16.6
Westbrook: 13.6
Ibaka: 2.2

Curious - if you were the Heat would anyone else consider not keeping Wade or Bosh?

I'm kind of assuming that at this point Bosh is the more popular choice than Wade (to play alongside LBJ)

I take Bosh. Bosh has been more important to Miami than Wade this year.

Plus, it is easier to build a team around Bron/Bosh than Wade/Bron. You have more flexibility in the types of players you can put around them. Wade + Bron kinda pegs you in. Limits options.

If you draft the Celtics, would you keep Rondo?

Reality, yes. Just entirely too good of a contract and you know, check out the playoff numbers.

In this excercise - I probably try to have fun with it and build a cast of old guys who can compete now.

You pick the talent. Then, if you don't like it, you trade the talent.

I don't take Rondo because he is out injured for the rest of the season.

I'd take Pierce and Garnett and try to build a short term contender around them.

No.  If even just to trade Westbrook, he has so much more value.

Yep, I take Westbrook too.

You guys have missed the important questions:

1. Who do you keep on the Bobcats?

2. The Magic?

Or are those two teams going to be contracted?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Looking at the teams last year, and knowing now what we know, there doesn't look like a clear winner. This draft really does encourage parity, more so than the actual CB draft, which seems odd.
