Last night was the most comfortable Nesmith looked.  More fluid.  In better position.  When his shot starts falling his confidence will rise.  Just needs more practice.  Hes thinking so much he can't just play.  His shot is a thing of beauty and will start falling.

Really liked that he made that driving layup when T Ross was on him - a solid veteran wing defender. A few buckets might help him steady himself.

He looked a little bit more like he knew where he was supposed to be last night, so that was good.

Am I projecting or does it look like he's trying to speed up his release? I know that criticism was out there and it looks to me like he's trying to get a little faster on the trigger. That could be one reason for all the misses.

Potentially the greatest 2 for 7 performance ever put up in 18 minutes.

Yeah. The complaints I see about his athleticism I find mystifying. People do blow by him, but it’s usually because he’s out of position or leaning the wrong way. He does need to clean that up. His ability to correct his mistakes by catching up and contesting shots, to me, shows more than enough quick twitch ability and athleticism. His biggest mistakes seem to be that he doesn’t yet see the game well/ get ready properly, so he has work to do there. Game is still sped up for him.

calling him a bust like some are after 10 games is an over-reaction. But I expected it when Payton Prichard has fit right in.

but, Prichard has 4 years of college and is the same age as Tatum. Nesmith was a 1 year guy and is still developing. He will find his way. He was the best shooter in the draft.

Reggie Miller was the all time leading three-point shooter of his generation with strange shooting form.

Khris Middleton has a different looking jumpshot form.

I think Nesmith has the type of form that we difficult to defend. Some people just have the knack.

You know the difference between Reggie and Naismith? One honed his craft in college and his shots actually went in the basket. We have a rookie that actually honed his craft in college and the result is obvious.

He just needs playing time. Stinks that G League isn’t an option this year.

What is it with some Cfans and G league. He is a #14 pick...just play him and fix his shooting form it just looks weird.

Fix shot of best 3 point shooter in college basketball last season?

Brilliant.

Yup his shooting form is off, needs to be fixed. There is a reason his open shots are not going in.

The stroke looks beautiful. The shots will drop.

Yeah there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that stroke or his footwork setting up his shot. It’s just a combination of small sample size and getting up to speed and in rhythm.

There is more to shooting form than footwork and stroke - there is the shooting motion. The jump the arc the point of release and the landing spot vs the starting spot. Look at his shooting form in the NBA vs college. It is not the same.

Pritchard playing like a 3 year vet instead of rookie makes him look bad .   Plus Tatum , Smart and Brown pretty could contribute fairly quick ,  thus we are a little spoiled .

Im gonna " try" be patient,  and its very hard for me ,  As it looks like Semi outlasted me and my negitivity .

Need togive the coaches and him a bit more time to work though his hesitation and bad tendencies. He needed summer ball and a good long dose of G league to put him on track.
