OKC sends: Ray Allen, 6.28, 7.28, 11.28
PHI sends: Jamal Crawford, 9.9, 10.9, 11.9
Confirmed.
I don't love this one for OKC.
Maybe if OKC already had a starting SG it wouldn't be so terrible, Crawford is a more valuable bench player, as he can play 2 positions. No way would I prefer having Crawford as my starting SG over Allen though.
Gonna be tough to find a starting SG at this point to justify this move.
That's my issue with it. Crawford needs to be given the ball and plenty of shots. He's not going to get that starting between Durant and Jrue.
He's a great 6th man, but OKC needs a floor-spacing SG to start. In giving up their 6th and 7th rounders, I'm not sure they're going to find that (if that player is still out there at all.)
I have Shved to start so Crawford can do his work off the bench.
OKC a finals lock and I feel we only got better.
I don't know one way or the other about the Finals lock.
In my opinion, the trade was a definite downgrade. Even if it isn't, as you say, you now have no 6th, 7th, or 8th round pick (I'm assuming, I can't see where you have your picks listed). You also only have two bench players. How do you plan on fielding any sort of bench at this point?
I've poured through pages of player lists, and the talent pool for players that are actually NBA rotation caliber is very slim now. About all that is left are backup PGs and 4th string bigs.
Ultimately, I think you hurt yourself more than however much you may have helped yourself here.
