I was reading an article and someone commented that Morris, Rozier and Brown are trade bait and will be gon in a month.....
So I was curious who you thought might be traded this year? Can vote for as many as you want.
-
I believe Brown is a bad fit next to the rest of our starters. Having said that, I don't think Danny would sell low on him.
I voted for Rozier. The way I see it, he is a score-first PG who needs the ball in his hands in order to maximize his effectiveness on offense. Problem is, we already have Kyrie-Smart on the ball, hence we use Rozier off the ball as a back up to Brown. Not to mention, his contract runs up in a few months. Unless we trade him by the deadline, we 'll end up losing him for nothing.

Brown and Rozier in a package.
-
Rozier and only Rozier.
Morris is to important this year.
Brown and Smart are to important for the off-season trade market.
Yabu is also a great offseason filler for a trade.
Theis is cheap.

I was thinking a similar thing the other day...only it started with: who are the playoff 9, and who is on the outside? I figured I could accept a Semi as a 9th guy, but then oh boy that quickly shows the logjam we have.
Smarts versatility and aggressiveness have earned him a lot of minutes and a contract big enough to lead off a big consolidation trade. But there is no doubt that is a position that can be upgraded talent wise. And Morris isn't as good as his good shooting nights suggest.
Rozier may be on the block, but my guess is that Marcus "Banks" Smart goes with Morris and maybe even Jalen for a stud big.
Totally making stuff up there. No clue.

Since I think Boston is going to try and avoid the tax, I voted for Morris, though wouldn't be surprised to see Baynes, Smart, and/or Rozier moved.
-
I vote Yabusele. I think he is definitely being traded, probably with someone else, to consolidate but also to she'd enough money to get under the luxury tax. The other person to be traded could be a lot of people but Yabusele is definitely gone.
-
If it’s anyone it’s Rozier, but even that would surprise me. Although Kyrie said he will resign here, I don’t buy it. It would be smart to keep Rozier if Uncle Drew decides to skip town to Brooklyn with KD.
If Rozier is traded I think it will be to PHX for Mikal Bridges or to NYK for Damyean Dotson or Alonzo Trier.

TP for answering the question FULLY, i.e. give a trade scenario. I personally can't vote without knowing who the person is being traded for.
-
I voted for Rozier as most likely to be traded. We have surplus at his position, he has value around the league, and we may lose him to free agency anyway. We certainly are not going to trade him just to trade him (at least I hope not) but he seems the MOST likely.
-
Nobody.
-
don't see a trade happening unless something continues to misfire on this team when Rozier's in the game. even then, if Rozier was traded it would have to be for an obvious improvement in skillset/fit even it short-term.

Agreed I remember hearing over the summer that when we signed Smart to the number that we did, parting ways with Yabuselle was a foregone conclusion.
It's a shame, I like Yabu but there probably isn't a player in the league at that price range that would be worth an additional year in the repeater tax. Remember Mike Miller at the end of the Miami Heat era?
-
I voted Brown, I would hate to see that happen, but if I had to pick one it would be him and Terry. Terry is he keeps playing the way he has been will be a cheap resign.
-
because its DA.....he usually holds em , never shows his hand till the bitter end .
I d say
NOBODY
-
Probably nobody.

nobody

nobody
I would be truly surprised if Danny traded anyone.

Brown and Rozier in a package.
I agree...and with Yabu or Theis as a throw in.
-
If we can trade Rozier for a lottery 1st round pick at the deadline, that makes a lot of sense because we can then flip that pick in a later deal for a star like Davis or someone else who becomes available in the summer.

I don't think many stars will become available for trade next year. The superstars, that fit with the current Celtics roster, we would want to make a godfather offer for are Davis, Antetokounmpo, Jokic and Embiid. But I believe those are untouchable.
Maybe Towns or Porzingis could be obtained, when they get dissatisfied with the direction of their franchise. That wouldn't be a bad consolation prize at all. I believe Gordon will be for sale for the right price, but then you're speaking about a fringe All Star.

Yabusele
