What could NJ possibly offer to get both of those guys? Then again, what did the lakers actually give up for gasol? Sota's end of the KG deal looks better and better all the time.

Yeh, I heard that too.

ESPN Insider has it:  http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/features/rumors

If you don't have insider:

Quote
Multiple league sources said the Nets and Nuggets have discussed a blockbuster deal that would bring Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby to New Jersey. In return, Denver would get a package that includes Richard Jefferson, Marcus Williams, Keith Van Horn's contract and the Nets' lottery pick. There likely is more involved to make the salaries match up, but the sources said the trade could happen, making Tuesday even more important.

The Nets, in the lottery for the first time since 2001, have only a 1.1 percent chance of getting the top pick and a less than 4 percent chance of jumping into the top three. They just hope they don't fall from their current spot at 10.

Team president Rod Thorn and general manager Kiki Vandeweghe have been gauging interest in Jefferson and Williams as well as their picks since the regular season ended last month. -- The Record

That 23+ million going to NJ.

Clearly it has to be Carter or Jefferson, then another 10 million.

Where do they get that?

Do you think Keith van Horn will still be collecting paychecks when he's 60? The perpetually expiring contract?  Greatest job ever.

Yeah, no kidding.  How do I get that gig?

I don't really like that proposed deal at all.  I think they'd be better off moving Camby and keeping Carmelo.  Yes, he's flawed, but he's also a superstar, who hasn't even hit his prime yet.

If I were Jersey I'd make them take Carter some how in the deal. A team with Carter and Melo is a terrible defense team and those two will be fighting to take all the shots.

It would be nice if Camby got moved away from malcontents instead of with them.

Anthony and Carter would make great teammates.   ;D  Two of the most selfish players in the game on the same team.

If Iverson could somehow go away, George Karl's dream sceanrio would play out.

Anthony & Carter and Anthony Carter all on the same team would kinda fun too.

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I work with some well connected peeps who know some of the nets front office. This deal is real is there is good chance of it going down.

Does anyone know the story with KVH's contract? Was it $8mil? It's non-guarenteed right? Does that mean they can trade it over the summer? Can they waive him at any point following the summer, not a team option like thing where it becomes guarenteed at a certain point?

Anyway, I doubt there's anything to it, but the Nuggets GM is an idiot so you never know. If it were to happen, it would the biggest disaster in Nuggets History and a coup for the Nets although Jersey would still be miles away from putting a competitive team with postseason hopes on the floor.

I gotta say that with this trade, even though we don't know what Jersey is giving up yet, really looks to be a big advantage NJ's way.

Marcus Williams is young but as of yet has not developed quite as much as Jersey had hoped for and with Devin Harris in the fold, his future development is not needed.

Jefferson had a great year but honestly at this point in time who would you rather have on your team, Jefferson or Melo?

And you couldn't get a better player to help bring along Sean Williams than Camby. Camby was very similar coming outof college only Camby had a jump shot. But Sean Williams could become the type of center that Camby is and I think his influence could be huge.

Lastly if Jersey could pawn Vince Carter to Denver as well, then they really win this deal. Melo playing in Brooklyn alongside LeBron in a few years would be something to see.

Offer them Perkins, Tony Allen and some filler for Canby.
