Ideal summer:

1. Hayward gets fully healthy

2. Smart doesn't receive an above market offer sheet

3. Baynes returns on a 1 or 2 year contract

4. I don't see anymore trade Kyrie or Tatum trade ideas

Realistic Best Case
1. Irving and Hayward are both 100% by the start of the season
2. Lebron signs with Lakers or some other western team that isn't the Rockets or Warriors (or if he stays in the East stays in Cleveland)
3. Sixers strike out in free agency and don't acquire anyone in trades (like say Leonard)
4. Smart signs for the qualifying offer
5. Baynes comes back at the MLE

Dreamland Best case
1a. James agrees to a sign and trade for Horford and Tatum
1b. Leonard and Mills are acquired for Irving, BOS 1st, filler
3. Smart re-signs on a reasonable deal, say 4 year, 40 million
4. Baynes re-signs for MLE
5. Monroe re-signs at 20% for 1 year, with a team option for year 2

What. The. !@#$?

Unbelievable. Everything Celticsclay has said about you is right. This is just awful.

Lol. I just saw this. Funny stuff. Obviously Moranis can't think trading Tatum and Horford for a year or two of James is reasonable (for the Celtics, obviously franchise altering for the Cavs)
why would it be a year or two? I'd expect James to be here for 5 years. Obviously he won't be the best player in the world the whole time, but I absolutely expect James to still be a very good player 5 years from now. And in that 5 years of expect the Celtics to win at least 3 titles.  I'd gladly trade Tatum for that.
Yeah, but as a “dreamland scenario” it’s ridiculous because there are plenty of other ways for LeBron to come here that don’t involve us trading our best prospect in decades
not that are in any way overly realistic

Isn’t that the point of dreamland scenarios? Plus, he could just come here for the MLE ;)

No a dreamland scenario isn't something not based in reality.  It is a highly unlikely situation, but one that is at least realistic.  If James gets sign and traded to anywhere, it has to be worth Cleveland's while.  They aren't just going to trade him, stay in the luxury tax, and not get something worthwhile to do so.  It would take Horford or Hayward for salary and then Brown or Tatum for Cleveland to be willing to sign and trade James to Boston.  I'd rather trade Tatum than Brown in the totality of the situation I posed (i.e. where Leonard also comes to town), but would have no issue swapping Tatum and Brown.

And remember in a sign and trade, the contract has to be at least 3 years, so Boston would have Lebron for at least the next 3 years in that scenario.

There can only be one alpha.  For the Celtics that's Brad Stevens for the foreseeable future.  Lebron and Brad do not mix well, similarly to how Brad and Rondo are not the best mix, but with Lebron it would be much more obvious and problematic.

Tangent:  Rondo should resign with the Pelicans for sure.....
The Pelicans might have stopped the Warriors with a healthy Boogie....even though they played more beautifully and organized without Boogie, they simply needed him against the upper echelon teams, and were playing well before his injury too...fascinating team that it's easy to root for out west....I'm also a big Jrue Holiday fan.  Really too bad about Boogie's injury.  After Celtic injuries that was my least favorite NBA injury this season.  Don't know how they can get a wing onto that team. They need Mikal Bridges bad...
