Nate can move back over to Sg where he is most effective. In the preseason Delonte and Baby had it going. He is one tough player. I Cant wait for the Wizards game.

I like Delonte coming in for stretches for Allen-Rondo to give them rest. Waive Wafer and leave the last roster spot open for a late season pick up. Or in case get a big man for insurance since both O'Neals are injured and when Perk comes back.

And it's not just what West brings to the table (though that helps too).  Simply having another competent shooting guard will go a long way in making sure the Big Three get adequate rest and that the second team holds leads.

Too often Doc keeps Ray or Paul out with the second unit, and that has effects on the rotations for the rest of the game at more than just the 2/3 spots.

Any word on how his back is? Hope the couple of weeks off has allowed him to get in A1 condition.

We'll be better, (as long as he's healthy), that for sure .... though I wouldn't say a lot better. The bench will be a good deal deeper, and I like the idea of a Nate/DeLonte PG/SG option.

I think it will help us to rest the vets definitely.  The second unit will have younger legs and allow our stars to rest.  The improval will be over the long haul though and not immediately noticable I would bet.

Alot better than we already are? Will we win 95 percent of our games now instead of 80? ;)

We will be better and we should see a more consistent bench. Although Nate has looked alot more comfortable of late he s still a better fit if he has to worry about scoring only. Delonte can run the offense now.

Agreed.

Many of the Ws have been pretty close, though, and we need to get the starters minutes down.

Still hard to be "a lot" better than 8-2.

 :)

I can't wait for Delonte to come back, push the ball and rebound.

Agreed.  But I think West and a healthy JO will mean that we keep more leads and can consequently keep the starters' minutes down.

A lot better? In case you think so, then I'd say you don't give the team a lot of credit. He will be a help, yes. He will contribute with much more than Von Wafer does so far, clearly. However, to expect a lot from West is in my opinion rather delusional.

Don't get me wrong, I love Delonte. The first jersey I ever bought was with Delonte, and I still sport it as often as I can. He's easily in my top 5 favourite players in the league. So it's not because I have a bias against him, quite the contrary!

However, think of what was thought with the Marquis Daniels, Jermaine O'Neal and Nate Robinson additions. I at least had higher expectations that what they have shown in their Celtic careers right now (looking at an 'average' basis - I am quite aware that espec. Nate has been very big for us in the playoffs). I would be pleasantly surprised if Delonte did not in some way emulate what they have done. Some good, some bad - but not a revelation, nothing significant - and nothing that is going to make us a lot better.

Also agree on both counts...And hopefully we can finish teams without needing the extra 5 minutes that we have been doing far too often this season.
