Avery is a terrible coach and he has outcoached doc tonight with their defense

Lakers and celts = pretenders

It's like Courtney Lee lost all ability to shoot when he became a Celtic

Yeah, it's really baffling.  All offensive ability gone.

We need every win we can get with this poor start

Not that I want to lose, but history suggests this isn't true.

Rondo out is a short-term loss on paper, but if this fires the team up it's a long-term win, and maybe even a win tonight.

I understand the inspiration factor idea, and obviously the team is capable of winning without any player on the team, but I just disagree.  Rondo is our best player.  I like our odds a lot better with him in the lineup.

Oh my God, what happened to Pierce's free throw?

Love how the C's continue to leave Stackhouse open in the corner.  It's like they don't learn from their mistakes.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
Paul's having an off-night.  All players have off-nights.  I wouldn't read into this too much

We could have really used Darko tonight!

Hahaha

This whole mess actually completely brightened up my so far not very good night. Couldn't stop laughing through the whole thing

I agree! Side note, these nets announcers are so annoying!

Lee and  Terry have been really disappointing, all things considered.  Both have played well below the level they were at just last season.

At least with Green there's the excuse that he hasn't played in a year.  Lee is obviously trying, but he can't seem to do anything offensively.  Terry doesn't bring any rebounding or defense to the table, and only in a handful of games has he really given us the scoring punch we expected from him.
a pretty fair assessment of their play so far this year

Stackhouse playing like he's 28, while Lee is playing like he's 38

We can't cut into the lead because Lee can't guard Johnson.  What happened to Lee supposedly being able to guard 2s and 3s?  We have to double Johnson which is leaving wide open shooters.  He also can't hit Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..  Worthless.

That and we can't hit anything and they're hitting everything.

Just a horrible game all around.

And Green has been apparently benched.  Good riddance.

I am shocked by how badly the Celtics continue to play after the "fight." I fully expected they would make a run given the Nets are down 2 bigs and the Celtics would be peeved.

Instead, Pierce is playing with his eyes closed, Lee is unable to tell the difference between a black jersey and a white one and Stackhouse is killing us.

This game is a cruel joke.  I hate to sound like vinnie, but I think we're done here.

Celts are so much worse than I thought they would be coming into this season.  Really disappointing.
