In Pierce's defense...I wonder what he could've done with a Pippen?

Shaq already stated that HE could've won with Pierce?

Don't get me wrong - I loved 'Toine but he was no Pippen or Shaq.

Paul Pierce - as he was slipping past his prime - garnered respect from none other than LeBron James as being a TOP defender.

I think Sports Media sleeps on Paul Pierce because The Lean Years destroyed Boston....our rep was SO SHOT by the time Pierce came on that he wasn't going to get much respect outside of BOS.

He didn't get his true renaissance until KG and Ray Ray got there...as he was past his prime.

These posts of his are speaking nothing but The Truth.

Yeah, Pierce was a legit superstar. I think him taking a while to fully buy into playing team ball and him playing on lots of not so good teams in his prime hurts his reputation, but he was a great offensive machine in his prime who could play some darn good defence.

If we took Kobe, Nash, Jermaine O’Neale or Peja instead of Toine, how different does that period look for us? Certainly would’ve been interesting.
