Unfortunately I think Jalen Lecque stock will keep improving as we get closer to the draft

and Danny might have to bite the bullet and take him at #14

who knows, if one of the teams that gave him a promise already is the Celtics
Highly doubt he'll be picked in the first round. Might even be available at #51.

ummm no

Lecque has college teams lined up for him and is projected to be a lottery pick next season.... if he chose this route

6'4 PG with 6'8 wingspan.  43 inch max vertical.  Plus is no stiff in the skills department.   Also considered an involved defender

No way he drops to 51
Projected to be a lottery pick NEXT year. No scout is going to take that big of a risk at this point. I haven't seen a single mock with him in the first round.

And Danny Ainge is no ordinary gm

He reached for both Avery Bradley and Terry Rozier

Also the mocks thus far is "too early". Give it a few weeks

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Does anyone follow Dime Drop on Youtube?

Very analyst, and great breakdowns of draft prospects. Probably one of my favorites.
Yeah, love his vids. He's the one that started my souring on Bol Bol

Nice, TP to you.

Yeah I was really interested in Bol Bol, but then he mentioned all the concerns and I pretty much became very hesitant on him. Plus he doesn't seem like the type of guy who really uses his size to abuse defenders.

Can't define how I be dropping these mockeries."

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

Mfiondu Kabengele
ACC sixth man of the year

This center has an intriguing set of skills.   Reminds me of Harrell but also can shoot the 3.

this dunk is filthy

Good find, Tr1boy.  TP.  I like him with our last 1st round pick; doubt he's around for our 2nd round pick.

I agree

I like his "relentless" attitude at the boards.  Like I want it more than you.

Celts could really use a guy like this.  And his ability to shoot the 3, satisfies CBS need for a stretch big

Danny and staff though will need to do their homework....

Kabengele is a possibility to translate to the NBA.

He is 6'10" but, isn't particularly "long." He can shoot from three. He has good hands around the rim. He has a good handle and drives with good control from the perimeter very well for his length.

He makes very quick, decisive decisions when he has the ball. State plays a very tough schedule, meaning Kabengele was up against size and talent for the majority of his minutes.

Blah blah blah...the reason he might be good in the NBA?

He plays his butt off. He dives, he leaps, he swings, he watches the rest of the court and he runs and runs and runs. While maintaining this pace? He is accurate and controlled in his movements.

Not all bigs have this.

Would Stevens give him minutes?

He is not long? He has a 7'3 wingspan

NBADraft.com has us taking Nickeil Alexander-Walker at 14, which probably means they're assuming we lose Kyrie and don't get Anthony Davis. If both of those things do come to pass, I wouldn't mind the pick. 6'5", 205 pound combo guard that has the looks of being a great swiss army knife, do-it-all sort of player. Can play both on and off the ball, unselfish and smart, and has the looks of being a good shooter. One downsides are that he isn't exactly the best athlete, which means he might have some trouble getting to the rim in the NBA.

Gary Parrish of CBS has the Celts picking (mock)...

14- Brandon Clarke
https://youtu.be/_HVKSnoYq6c?t=51 vs Duke.  Impressive
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea6cy0ZiLV0&t=133s  - Tourney highlights

20- Ty Jarome
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOQJhymCuuE&t=270s  - NCAA tourney highlights.  Oldschool type pg.

22- Luguentz Dort
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNjRkU5xn6c  -  Marcus Smart part 2?  is a SG but has a body of a linebacker

Count me out on Bol Bol.

Taller Channing Frye with major injury red flags ... not interested.

I could not agree more, TP

3 really good role players. Some shooting and some defense. Those would be some really good add ons for The Celtics. I think if you look at this draft for some high end role players it looks like a solid draft.

I agree

Ty Jarome supposed can play D but not sure how it would translate at the nba level

Looks like has a package similar to Livingstone but also can shoot

Would need to see more of Dort. But looks like a beast

I like Clarke. Not sure if he can handle nba pf size. But his shot blocking and versatility is top notch. 40 inch vertical plus quick off the ground is a nice recipe
