Suppose we package #14, #22 and the Memphis pick. (Just for the sake of argument make it these three, which allows Danny to keep #20 and get the guy he wants in the 20s).

How high can we go with those picks?

My instincts tell me somewhere in the #7-8 range, but it's hard to value the Memphis pick.

I would think it could get us around 8-10 spot perhaps. But why would we do that if we were hoping Memphis pick not to convey this year at 9th spot, we would now trade it plus our other 2 picks to get to the place where we did not want to pick this year in the first place.

I actually wanted the Memphis pick to convey as who knows where it will fall this coming year or the following. I have a feeling it will bottom out next year and then they will bump up towards the latter half of the lottery the year it would be unprotected if not conveying next year.

I wouldn't trade the Memphis pick to move up, it has potential to be a top tier pick eventually, and would be a key piece to an AD trade.

Hopefully, we will have none of these picks. If we have all four picks, combine 14, 20, and 22 and maybe get to 10. That's maybe. The Memphis pick could easily be 7 or 8 next year (protected to 6) or the top pick in the draft two years from now. Leave it out of the pick combination. If all four picks are sent to NO, they will probably want us to do something similar.

Not certain trading in to the top 10 is worth it. Right now you can throw a blanket over picks after 3. Unless someone jumps out in workouts I don’t see a great reason to move up.

At this point the value may be in quantity and hope we hit on a pick .

According to Ryan Bernardoni and his vlaue chart, this year 14+20 is enough to move up to 5 or 6. Mainly due to the weakness of the draft.

History says we can get 8-10. So I guess it depends if there's a guy we like that drops

Edit: don't trade the Mem pick in this draft....

Yeah. If there’s a guy they really like who might be there around 10 but not 14, *and* they’re picking for themselves not NOP, *and*!hey find a trading partner who doesn’t mind dropping to 14 because they guy they want will still be there or they have idea and just want another shot — then 14 and 20 for 10 or so.

In a seller's market I got the value of our picks at 14=250, 20=105, 22=80 for total of 435.
You fall in between pick 11=410 and 10=480.

But buyer's market is in the 9 - 25 range this year so I'd say 14 and 20 alone could get you pick 10. Good value if you stay in that buyers window. Try to get into top 8 and things will get pricey.

just trade the 14 and 22 picks for Bruno Fernando

Fernando and PJ Washington are the two players I want the Celts to pick

to replace Marcus Morris

and insurance in case Horford walks.  Fernando won't be able to fully replace Horford

but the guy is a man child.   Underrated skills too
