Philly might grab a 2nd win of the season against Pistons.

Surely the 2 worst teams in the league.

KJ McDaniels has his second 4 block game in as many games.  D'oh!  Also, Jason Terry has been outstanding in Houston's starting lineup with Beverly and Howard out.  Seriously, what gives, lol? ;D

When Minny lost to the Sixers, at least they were missing several starters.  Detroit has no such excuse.  Can a team with Detroit's talent really only win 10-15 games in a season?  Can they NOT make some kind of move before the trading deadline?

PHILLY MADE IT!
MCW and Covington had a great night.
Team played good D.
Noel has some real issues with catching the ball. If it wasn't so bad it would be funny.

actually tonight Philly missed both Shved and Wroten. MCW almost got no rest (and this included the OT). I think the whole Philly is no legit NBA team narrative is over. They are a bad team alright, but they can compete.

Philly's been competing.  The legitimate blowouts are rather rare.  Philly is more often than not in their games until down the stretch, when their lack of experience and talent is exposed.

They've been blown out more than any other team in the league. Almost every team is competitive some nights.

Edit: They've lost 11 of their games by double digits. Pistons have only lost 9 and never by more than 16. The 764ers have lost 4 games by more than 25 points

Look at the box scores of their games.  Their opponents are regularly resting their stars, playing them 20 minutes or giving them the night off.

About Philly, IMO they have improved a lot in the last five games or so.
And btw sure, SAS rested both Duncan and Parker but it was a close fight. (103-09 if I remember well)

And from the bottom to the top:
I'm calling it now (that the hype around Memphis and Golden State is still high), SAS will win it back to back. The 6th is coming.

The one thing I love about these guys is the complete absence of self-criticism or even memory.
Do you remember Smith banging his hand on the table after game 3 of the Finals and shouting 'Miami will be back and win the series'.
I am not saying he should be apologetic , it's not like he did sthg bad, but you know a constructive conversation of why (with hindsight) he underrated SAS would be sthg I would gladly listen to precisely because I respect Smith's opinion.
My other favourite is Eddie Johnson in his blog literally abusing people who were (correctly as it turned out) complaining against Kobe's last contract with the Lakers - that they were haters who do not understand how capitalism works. Seriously...

Btw, anyone with a prediction about the East Finalist?
To me, it looks even more complicated than the West. The obvious favourites (Chi and Cavs) have been underwhelming so far and the remaining teams would arguably not even make the playoffs in the West.

Houston appears to be the most dangerous team in the west. Harden is playing like a MVP, and the defense, even without Dwight, who was playing excellent himself before his injury, is still stellar. I am amazed at the immediate turn around they have seen on the defensive side of the ball. Ariza has been huge for them, and with Harden giving renewed effort, as well as Beverly being a defensive pest too, team can credibly defend opposing backcourts. I believe they have one of the best percentages in defending the 3 pt shot.

The valuable playing time guys like DMo, Canaan, Black and KPap are getting, and proving that they can contribute, is going to do wonders for the team when the starters get healthy.
