Livingston has proven that he is a rotation caliber player, he is by no means a scrub.  But ya I do have fields playing mor than I'd like, but I want granger playing 30 mpg until the playoffs cause of the knee

I don't know about that. He's a borderline NBA player

In no universe is Livingston a border line nba player.  If he were on the celts right now he would be starting and would improve our team a lot.

Any thoughts on my team as it continues to fill out? Feel my young guys have good backups some of them with great potential others allowing them to help fill out this year.
Not a Championship contender this year but definitely could be in the future, have the space to sign good free agents this offseason or next, and dont lose anyone anytime soon

Didn't he get waived by the real-life Wizards?

I think that says more about the Wizards management than it does about Livingston.

Denver Nuggets  Salary - 40.7/70.3

It looks like you are still a fair bit under the salary floor. Need an expensive signing.

Quote
PG: Ty Lawson -- (2.5) / DJ Augustin (3.3)/ Derrick Fisher (min)
SG: Bradley Beal -- (4.1)   / Rip Hamilton (5.0)
SF: Michael Kidd- Gilchrist -- (4.6) / Nick Young (5.6)
PF: Thad Young -- (8.0)  / Sully (1.3)
C: Demarcus Cousins ($3.8M)/ Haywood (2.05)

Team is in very good shape.

With the final two roster spots, I would look for (1) a backup three with good size and a jump-shot, and, (2) a fifth big. Probably a PF.

S.Livingston had a partially guaranteed contract, didn't he?

I think it was a cost-saving move by Washington.

Edit: Looks like I was wrong. It was Houston that waived S.Livingston for financial savings. Then Washington signed him afterwards.

I think it's a very well balanced team, fit-wise, experince-wise, very symmetrical.

Top level talent could be better, but honestly, there are 5 lottery-level talents in your starting 5, and that's nothin to laugh at.

Not a chance would be be starting. We could use him with our guard rotation, but he wouldn't be starting.

And last season, Livingston was a borderline NBA player. He's really just now figuring out his body again. Had to change his whole game, add weight, he's just now getting it, at what, age 26?

I'm a firm believer that for young guys to develop they need good leadership and to experience some level of winning. But I don't know what Rip Hamilton does for you. I'd move him for another young chip.

But Like I said, I love the young core of this team. The future parts (healthy Sullinger over Thad Young) work perfectly together. It's a real TEAM youv'e assembled.

Sorry man, when people start just throwing teams out there, sometimes one gets missed.

I don't know what to make of your team, all things being equal. To be honest, you mostly took players I avoid. To be frank, I've just never been a big fan of any of them except Pek. But at the same time, a lot of those guys are playing above what I've come to expect.

That said, I see two big flaws; 1) Passing, 2) Defense

Passing: Brandon Jennings is a score first and second, pass third point guard. Kevin Martin doesn't pass, Marion isn't particularly gifted in that regard, and Hickson and Pek are black holes. In your reserves, you don't have very good passers either. Ball movement (which creates easy baskets, and cuts down on desperation shots late in the clock, or heavy ISo-play).

Defense: Hickson is not a good defender, Pekovic is alright against other bruisers, but he'll get murdered by quick centers. Neither guy is a particularly good help defender. So your best help defender is Marion. Jennings is an underrated defender, but he's not grown into the elite defender many (including myself) hoped he would. And Kevin Martin...well he used to be the worst defender among starting 2 guards in the league. He's not that now, but he's not particularly good there either. And now, without a guy like Ibaka behind him, he's going to get worse. Your reserves could be better there too.

I guess Im having a real problem fitting the team into a cohesive unit I can get my head around.

Its fine i was kidding ;D ;D i really saw my team going nowhere so i decided to make the best rebounding team and then i went for the sharpshooters
