...a Celtics win over LA. Please, I've been a good boy this year. Granted, I've had my cake and eaten it, but one more slice wont hurt. I don't think I can start 2009 listening to "Lakers will be the champions" or "Kobe is the greatest ever" - I'm not sure how long I'll last before I punch someone wearing purple and/or gold right in the mouth.

Yours, cm.

While I've written this in a somewhat humorous manner, I'm deadly serious. I'm desperate to beat those guys. Their pain coupled with our joy is a truly wonderful feeling.

I'm confident that if we play to our best, we will win comfortably.

All we heard last year was "Lakers will be the champions" and "Kobe is the greatest ever".  That didn't turn out so bad.  8)

Ugh I am 100% with you cm. I've cancelled some plans with the family to watch the game. Should be a great battle... unless it's like G6 off the finals...

edit: wow that is embarrassing.

Game7?!?

That game is going to come down to weather the Lakers truely want to give it their all on both ends of the floor, if they come into that game playing like they are now, we will absolutly slaughter them if they come in prepared and giving it their all its going to be a battle.
"Leadership is diving for a loose ball, getting the crowd involved, getting other players involved. It`s being able to take it as well as dish it out. That`s the only way you`re going to get respect from the players"

- Larry Bird

I was thrilled when the greek channel that has the nba rights announced tha C vs L will be live on Cristmas day. The games are very late so it`s possible to watch if you have to be up by 07.00 (an east game starts at ~02.00).

But someone had other plans and i`ll be visiting the in laws and , surprise surprise, the channel in not available there!

So i hope Santa will bring the hv30 camcorder i want in order to cheer me up a little :D :D

I agree with the OP.  A loss would definetly ruin my christmas day, it would put me in a horrible mood and I'd have to turn my phone off so I dont have to deal with text messages rubbing it in my face.

However, if I knew for sure that we would see them in finals again, and win.  They could sweep us in the regular season for all I care.

If any pathetic Laker fan would actually talk smack through text messages after a regular season game, just text back "131-92", or pose the question of "How many banners did the Lakers get to put up for that win?"
