Sheldon learning to drive was great. The DMV scene in particular.

yes it was. i thought it was funny that he wanted to go to pottery barn to return his star wars bedsheets bc it was overstimulating and didnt let him sleep, lol

1) Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Absolutely genius)

2) The Simpsons (Very hard not to put it first but the last 5 or so seasons have been nowhere as good as there first 10-15 season.  The fact they have so many good seasons could be reason enough to put them first, but for purposes of this list, Fresh Prince wone out.)

3) Home Improvement (I am shocked that no one has put this on their list yet.  Tim Allen was hilarious on this show.)

4) Seinfeld (random seinfeld moments in real life are priceless)

[b]5)Saved by the Bell (Laugh if you must, but the show was very clever and funny)

I must.. hahahahaha

1.MST3k - I must admit I've aways loved making fun of TV movie, I was always the one that said some thing during those education film that we always got in school. Plus the show was very well written and very funny.
2. SCTV - The show was the springboard for John Candy, Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, Catherine O'Hara, Harold Ramis, Martin Short and Dave Thomas. I still watch it and still think it's the best sketch comedy show ever by a mile.
3. Seinfeld of course.
4. The Muppet Show favorite show as a kid along with HR Puffinstuff.

5. Mary Tyler Moore Show - great carter driven show.

I have no clue if you lovely Yanks get Trailer Park Boys or Kenny vs. Spenny down there but if you don't you should look them up online.

In no particular order...
Curb Your Enthusiasm/Seinfeld
Trailer Park Boys
Kenny vs. Spenny <---- LOOK IT UP
Cosby Show
South Park

...and throw on Mr. T and the Flavor Wave Oven infomercial, can't get enough of it.

1 Honeymooners - how 4 people in one room can be far more funny than a cast of hundreds going everywhere (like the Simpsons) is beyond me

2 Seinfeld. I may not like to admit it, but it was a very very smart and funny show about life

3 SNL/Kids in the Hall/Monty Python  Skit shows are very important to comedy

4 The Andy Kaufmann Show...I never saw it. I'm just projecting

5 I can't decide between Cheers, Newhart (the Vermont one), and Taxi....I also briefly considered King of the Hill and the Cosby Show

I know this is opinion and all but Taxi and King of the Hill have right to be mentioned with Cheers and the Cosby Show, so I think.

TP for Summer Heights High (Jonah has to be one of the funniest fictional characters ever) and Eastbound and Down. I forgot to mention those.

The ending to the last Newhart was the funniest few minutes ever on television.

I found it very very frustrating at the time, but in retrospect I guess it was pretty good

I think so many of Newhart's audience were holdovers from the Bob Newhart Show that it just made sense.  I remember watching it and being totally impressed!

So is that to say that a lot of people felt like they were sort of watching the same show or character for a while, but this was sort of never spoken of till the last episode? I was a little young
