Say you have 2 players. How would you quantify it?
Not who is better, but who has more talent basketball-wise.
What would you take in consideration?
If you can give it a go, by using another familiar sport, do it.
Even if you are not sure about the response - hit a post.
This is a mental exercise, not a competition, so there are no bad answers, just good efforts.

Thanks in advance.

One can measure athletic ability which is a part of talent.   It has a lot of components though.  Vertical leap, lane to lane speed, strength, etc. and there are a whole lot more.

One can also measure size which always helps in basketball.  So standing reach, height, wingspan etc.

We have stats like FG%, Assist to turnover ratio, etc. that we use to measure talent.

It is the stuff like will to win, leadership, and the like that are hard to measure.   We call these intangibles.

Scouts are people trained to spot these talents and abilities.

I think eye hand coordination and a sense of the game (how to play with feel and flow) are intangible aspects of talent in basketball.

You might like this small segment from the podcast I did with Eddie20... it's more about how we talk about player ceilings, but it's similar to what you're asking:  https://youtu.be/GD1QJZ0u6p4
