Not sure I love it for NY.

Like... I get the thought process, they need offense and Bojan provides offense, but he's a defensive hole that the Knicks didn't really have before.  Thibs is going to pull out the last remnants of his hair trying to find ways to hide him.

Also, from what I've seen, Detroit fans have been very uncomplimentary of Alec Burks this year.  The term "committing basketball terrorism" came up at least once.  He hits some threes at least?

Thibs' hair is Colorform hair. It's just stuck on.

That is brilliant.

I have the same hesitation with Thibs and Bogdanovic. It seems like trading one all-offense no-defense wing in Fournier for a different all-offense no-defense wing in Bogdanovic.

Knicks planning on playing defense? Don't see much of it with those two

Trying to figure out Detroit after these moves

G: Jaden Ivey, Marcus Sasser
G: Cade Cunningham, Quentin Grimes
F: Fontecchio, Fournier
F: I Stewart, Ausar Thompson
C: Duren, Wiseman

Then the end of the bench

G: Killian Hayes, Malachi Flynn
G: Shake Milton
F: Troy Brown, Joe Harris
F: Gallo
C: Muscala

Some interesting 3rd stringers there. More like a deep bench you would expect on a contender than the worst team in the league.

I wonder if Fournier or Fontecchio will start at SF.

Wouldn't mind Gallo getting bought out and picked up by the Cs

I haven't followed Detroit's transactions clearly, but that puts them at 17 players, right?  Two over the roster limit, so they'll have to waive somebody.

Man, Boggy could be a good bench piece for them.

With Embiid’s injury, the Bucks reeling, and the OG addition looking great, it feels like NYK is really going for it. Still think they’re a ways from realistically challenging the C’s, but I think they could legitimately get to the 2 seed and have a real shot of making the ECF.

NYK a solid team. A lot like the IT Celtics. one small PG on a heater with a bunch of hard noses guys around him. Randle is a better second option than anybody on that IT C's team for sure. Retain future firsts for a star trade.

In an effort to free up a roster spot to execute the various trades they've agreed to today, the Detroit Pistons have waived Joe Harris, who was averaging 2.4 points per game in 16 games this season.

Harris makes more than the MLE, right?  Too bad.

EDIT:  And the second shoe drops:

The Detroit Pistons are releasing 2021 No. 7 pick Killian Hayes, sources tell me and @JLEdwardsIII.

Could've had Haliburton there.  2020 draft, not 2021.

The Nicks needed shooting.  They should have gone after Hield.  He'd have been a better fit then Bogdan.  Bogdan can definitely score but he's a black hole on D.  Still they needed a shooter badly.

Is Hield's defense any better than BB's?
