I actually like that move for Milwaukee.  They had ZERO point-of-attack defenders.  Now they have one.  Does it fix them?  Probably not.  But it helps, and they (afaik) have very limited options for improvement at this point.  Every little bit matters.

Does it save them money or anything? 

Rumor is that they're probably going to sign Kyle Lowry if and when he's waived, so they wanted to clear salary room for that addition and maybe others.

They're pretty hamstrung as they are from a trade standpoint. It wasn't like they had the ability to swing for the fences here.
