there's actually more than I'd like to admit, but maybe posting this will get me off the shnide (how does one spell shnide? and see some of them), hopefully others have movies they haven't seen but should

- Top Gun
- Big Lebowski
- Evil Dead
- Space Balls
- Full Metal Jacket
- Braveheart
- Schindler's List
- Rambo
- Requiem for a dream
- Rocky Horror
- The good, the bad and the ugly
- One flew over the cuckoo's nest (though its on my counter waiting to be watched!)
- Apocalypse Now
- Dr. Strangelove
- 2001: A Space Odyssey
- Heat
- Platoon
- Mystic River

yikes, I feel even worse after going through that...there's more too I'm sure

yeah I didn't add On the Waterfront, Lawrence of Arabia, Ten Commandments, etc. because I never plan on actually watching them - all of mine on the list I'm embarrased to not have seen b/c I actually want to at some point

You should be ashamed! On the Waterfront is a pivotal movie!

Some others..

Mean Streets
Midnight Cowboy
Original Night of the Living Dead
A ton of Westerns/WWII Movies from the 50's and 60's
Every Lawyer movie ever..I can not stand them.
I have never watched Citzen Kane in its entirety
The Great Gatsby
a lot of girly movies like Pride and Prejudice..
I dunno

I've been beefing up my westerns lately. I watched Rio Bravo a few weeks ago

Bridge over the river kwia (i dunno how you spell that but I aint watched it)
The Deer Hunter

If anyone wants to watch a really good Western to ease into the genre, I recommend "Magnificent Seven"...its a remake of Kurosawa (SP)'s seven samurai

I've seen all of those. I'm here to save you some time.

Skip these:
- Top Gun
- Evil Dead
- Space Balls
- Rambo
- Rocky Horror
- Heat

Don't feel guilty about not seeing these. They're good movies, but not crucial:
- Schindler's List
- Requiem for a Dream
- The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
- Platoon
- Mystic River

You really need to see the rest.
- Big Lebowski is one of the funniest movies I've seen.
- Braveheart is just an excellent action movie
- Cuckoo's Nest is simply amazing. You'll love it.
- Apocalypse Now I almost put it on the list above, but there are too many classic scenes illustrating the absurdity of war. It's really good and very quotable.
- Same with Strangelove. It's a quirky dark comedy that's maybe not as funny as it used to be, but it's a truly memorable and quotable film.
- 2001 I know a lot of people who hate this boring movie, but I find it mesmeric, creative, intellectual. Approach with an open mind.

I've never seen any Star Wars movie ever, and yet Dark Lord is still my friend.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Also have never seen Star Wars movies and have no plans, too...

I guess Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs are other movies that everyone I know has seen, but not me...

If you want to talk horror/suspense, though, I'm your man!

  • Ill be back in a week. Add me on facebook
I never saw Dark Knight, Requiem, The Strangers. I get nightmares for horror films so I feel it's best to stay away all together.
