Poor man's? Did you mean "rich man's"?
Stats are skewed. Hayward was 19 and physically underdeveloped when he entered the league. As such, he struggled initially and had to build his body, and game, up. Wally was a 4 year senior and a finished product. The only thing he can do better than Hayward is shoot, but Hayward is better in every other facet of the game, especially ballhandling, defense, and being a facilitator on offense.
Posts like these make me realize not many people saw him in Utah.
