I doubt Brad is interested. I mean Perk is itching to be one of his assistance.

Tim Duncan with actual long (well, longer) hair always catches my eye.

'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Perk probably is no basketball genius but not many former players would have been more beneficial to the team last season.  I'd actually love to have Perk on the staff just to keep players accountable.

i have thought the same ,  he would not tolerate slackers and team disrespect in lockerroom.

Duncan is my favorite non-celtic of all time.  Broke my heart when the ping pong balls didn't fall our way.  It's nice to see him staying involved in the game and staying in the Spurs family.

I never thought Duncan would come back to coaching but man I bet he and Pop are gonna have a blast giving each other a hard time all year.

How many players are even left on the Spurs from the Duncan/Pop era? Just Patty Mills and Aldridge, right? Time flies.

Pops jr.

I can see him taking over head coaching duties once Pops retires

yeah ....he was pro on and off the court his whole career,  did his job always at a high level.   This is why i was sorry to see Al leave the Celtics .   I think we ll regret not paying him what it took to make him stay.

Is he now the best player to ever transition to coaching in the modern era?

I don't really understand why he wants to do it he's filthy rich and doesn't need the money. All that travel.

Seems weird he took a bench job of all the things.
ok fine

I don't see Al as the pros pro anymore. He failed to curb stomp the locker room issues. A pros pro would have handled that.

Al is a keep your head down and stay out of trouble kind of pro. Admirable sure but pros pro I'm thinking not.
ok fine
