7-21 tonight with zero assists and zero free throws.

In the last five games he is shooting 35% from the field and 23% from three.

I don’t like the way Tatum plays sometimes, but I will take it with Kyrie and Morris out.

He's one that seems to really struggle without Kyrie.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Looked like he was pressing a bit tonight, almost like he was told to be aggressive offensively out there. I'm fine with him being that aggressive offensively, especially with both Kyrie and Morris out, but he has to get more going to the basket and stop settling for so many jumpers, both midrange and three pointers.

He’s still a little one dimensional right now, the next step in his development is to develop better vision to see where the ball should go. Or simple drive and kick plays instead of fades.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Yep. He takes far too many mid range jumpers for my liking. Most of them are contested as well.

Is it just me, or do you guys see a little bit of Carmelo in Tatum?

I'm starting to feel that trading him for AD would be a no brainer.

Tatum has shot two free throws in the last five games.

He has become a gun like Carmelo except Carmelo was a better shooter.

First off...it's Jayson Tatum.

With that out of the way, Tatum has not only seemed to struggle recently but has appeared to regressed offensively through the year.

For all the unwarranted crap Jaylen Brown is given by 6 or 7 posters on this site about a low BBIQ, I am surprised those people don't say the same about Tatum. He is probably the worst ball stopper on the team. He is not playing good defense. He goes iso to create a mid to long range jumpers way more often than he goes iso to drive or even force a drive. He hasn't figured out how to finish through contact. Instead of taking a side step on a closed out three, he instead dribbles two feet in from the three point line and shoots a 20+ foot two pointer. I think his playmaking for others has gotten worse.

I love the kid. Just like Jaylen. They are my favorite Celtics. But they need to learn and they need to be more consistent. I am not worried about either. They will both be great come playoff time.

Tatum needs to go back and look at video of himself last year.

Don't disagree. I also wished he mentored under someone more team oriented like Pierce or Grant Hill rather than Kobe.

probably purposely too. Tatum looked like someone to challenge Kobe’s records
