If the Celtics can get Beal without giving up Irving, Tatum, or Horford, I think they should consider it. How do you feel about Beal on this team and what would you be willing to give up to get him?

It is everywhere.  Washington is open for business.  Everyone is available.

Interesting and probably wise, though I'd prefer to keep Beal if it was somehow possible to move Wall's contract.

I think they should explore it, but we would have to match the salaries. If they got Rozier then they could trade Wall.

We would probably need a 3rd team to make salaries work.

Rozier, Morris and Sac pick - Morris can play with his brother. Make Hayward the 6th man

depends on the price.   not ready to make a kneejerk reaction where we trade multiple good young players because the team started slow -- especially when we saw some of these potential-tradebait players play well for us last year.

I like this too, but Smart is the heart of this team. Brown, Rozier and picks would work too.

They want to move Wall so Ainge would have to help them do that.

Kyrie and Beal backcourt would be deadly. I'm sure Tatum would love to get his STL buddy.

Yes, they should. I’d prefer to dangle Rozier but probably have to make Jaylen the centerpiece.

The real question is....

Is Brown's ceiling higher or to the level of Beal's? Beal has already made an All Star game and may make more. He would be an All Star on the Celtics.

I realize you have to give something to get something, but I'm going to ignore that part right now because I like our team so much.

However, can you imagine a Beal-Irving backcourt? With Hayward, Tatum, and Horford?

They'd have to trade too many pieces to be worth it.

Smart, Brown, Mook, Rozier ... that's almost half the rotation.

Hayward/Rozier for Beal/Morris. Include any non-Sac picks if required. The deal also works without Rozier and Morris, but I imagine Washington would like to clear the salary/attitude.

Hayward is clearly a stand-up guy, but if there is an opportunity to move him while still upgrading our roster, then I think we need to explore the opportunity.

And, I know, I know, no major FA will ever sign with us again if we trade Hayward. But, Ainge is old and our roster is young. If we put together a 6-8 year window of serious contention, then Ainge will retire and that stigma will be gone when we are searching for a new max FA.

With the current versions of Hayward and Horford taking up over $60M in salary, I don't see how we are going to seriously compete. We will need a LOT more from Hayward and for Horford to take a LOT less on his next contract.

Hayward and Rozier for Beal and J. Smith (ex) works..

People think Hayward’s untouchable because of his relationship with Stevens, but Ainge would trade him at the drop of the hat if it meant bettering the team.

Honestly I don't think Hayward has positive trade value right now.
