This was a tough one too. So many good players still on the board - I want them all!

With their 3rd round selection, the Memphis Grizzlies select...

Manu Ginobili!
Great pick! So Kobe at SF?

I thought Joe D might drop more, good fit though.

And Manu is a really nice fit too.

Went with Manu, eh? Good choice. Does that mean Kobe is playing the 3?

Ginobili was my Plan B if Gervin wasn't available for my 2nd round pick. I was shocked Price was available which made me re-think. Kemp was my 3rd round pick idea so I went with him in the 2nd so I could think overnight between Manu and Price.

That was a tough decision. I love Ginobili so much. Fantastic player.

I thought about taking both Manu and Price but I was worried about thin the draft would be on big man talent by the end of the 4th round so decided Kemp would be one of the two picks and I'd take Manu or Price with the other.

Not sure if Kobe or Manu will play the 3, or if Manu will play the point.

Have Manu at PG in the chart simply because it's listed first, lol. A lot depends on who I draft later!

I almost took Manu with a thought to use him at PG, figuring Giannis would be doing most of the ball handling, but talked myself out of that, as I am not a huge fan of playing players out of their accustomed position.

That said, I love the pick.

Nice Manu was 3rd on my list for the day behind Joe D and my top pick as outlined below.

With their 3rd pick the Toronto Raptors will select the lethal shooting SF from Croatia Predrag "Peja" Stojakovic.

The Raptors will welcome the 2004 version that finished 4th in MVP voting and led the league in foul shooting at 92.7%, hit 43.3% from three (on nearly 7 attempts a game), 56.6% from 2 (so a TS% of 62.4), played 81 games at 40.3 mpg and scored 24.2 ppg, grabbed 6.3 rpg, and dished out 2.1 apg, while generating 1.3 spg.

Malone and Tiny welcome one of the most lethal shooters ever.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

With the 6th pick in the 3rd round, the Houston Rockets select another modern defensive giant who will be more than comfortable banging with the big forwards of old while being a floor spacer and passing hub on the other end:

Draymond Green

I get that some aren't in love with his physical tools, but he's not that much shorter than the power forwards of old (he'll pretty much exclusively play PF on my team unless my bigs all foul out) and has a freakishly long wingspan. He's also really strong so it's not like older PFs will overpower him on the block.

Great minds think alike Who. Price was my guy this round. Thought about Manu at PG but decided to address the SF position as I wasn't in love with the options left at that position.

Best player available on the board, imo. Not sure about the fit next to Kobe tbh.

Given my love for Manu (who doesn't?) it will be very hard to pry him from me in a trade, but anything is possible!
