Celtics need to get up 2-0 before cavs get their legs.

Make someone other than Mitchell beat you

bolded exactly.   we have 3 guys that can effectively guard Mitchell - Jrue / DWhite / Brown.  Lets platoon them on and off him to mess up his rhythm and keep a fresh guy on him at all times.

Cav’s are a finesse team, Orlando Would have been a much more physical series. I’m not worried about Mitchell. JB, White and Holiday are going to give him problems. Garland doesn’t worry me at all. Celtics in 6.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Worth noting, Cleveland basically doesn't have any rest. Games are every other day in the 2nd round too, and they probably travel tomorrow to Boston already.

limited time for Jarrett Allen's ribs to heal as well.   If he couldn't go today, makes you wonder about Tues for him as well.   That or he might be really limited with movement.

Even if he goes I’m going right at him and those ribs.

Active players still alive in the postseason with most career playoff games without a title:
• Al Horford - 172 games
• Jaylen Brown - 110 games
• Jayson Tatum - 99 games
• Mike Conley - 83 games
• Marcus Morris, Sr. - 71 games

CMON CELTICS it is time for Al, JB, JT to get that RING!

This was a game 7, too. They had to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive. If he couldn't play today, I doubt he plays on Tuesday.

Ribs heal slowly, but at a pretty consistent pace. He shouldn't suddenly be ready to go in a couple of days, but he will be ready to go soon.

X might be the right size to go at the ribs. Not dirty/illegal - just make him use those ribs.

And coincidentally, ribs tonight for dinner.

I got the matchup for the C's I wanted. Hopefully I'm not wrong about it.

I do not understand bruised ribs.

It's typically a 3-5 week injury depending on severity that can heal on it's own. It could be less than 2 weeks if it's really not major. I don't think they've disclosed anything about Allen's injury, but if he had to miss the last three in a row than I imagine it's not a small thing.

Bruised ribs, while not broken, are still a big pain. Chest pains are a main symptom of it. But also, if not carefully maintained, any other issues could lead to bleeding or injuries to the tissues under the skin and other areas near the ribs.

I doubt he'll miss all of the 2nd round but it seems like he could miss the first few games if he's not close (apparently he wasn't even doing workouts or practicing much in recent days)

Wow, that is a lot worse than I thought it was.

I kept expecting him to return soon and being surprised that he was still out.

Heading into game 6 in Orlando it was said Allen could not yet run and could not get up and the court without having issues breathing. He could do no basketball drills. That was Friday.

I got a case of food poisoning a couple of years ago and vomited so hard that I bruised my ribs.

Basically, you can't breathe, sneeze or cough for a couple of weeks. They really hurt.
