Tatum 15 and 8

And 3 blocks! (should have been 4, they robbed him of a clean block on Fultz)

I'm just wondering out loud if Kyrie has enough pure point guard in him?

He looked very comfortable as a two guard out there with Larkin.

Just stopped by to say I think we did alright in the last draft...

Good win, nice to see them gut it out. Larkin getting the team into their sets in the 4th really turned the game around.

Larkin is a lot more in control than Rozier. They both had good games.

Kyrie hit two big buckets earlier but I'm not liking some of these possessions.  Ball isn't moving enough and we're relying on Kyrie too much.
'Did you watch the team last year?  It's the same thing IT was running exactly.

Yeah, the team goes through some possessions with absolutely no off ball movement. Hard for anyone to look good when they have absolutely no choice but to go one on one

The rest of the game is one thing but the posessions down the stretch were mostly good.

Intensity got much better in the 4th.

They relaxed and got into things.  I think it also helps they were just running simple high pick and roll.  A lot of the rest of the time it was more complex movement but it wasn't effective.  You can't just run that the entire game but it was big there, with Larkin and Kyrie.

I'm still not impressed by Ben Simmons.

Philly is their own worst enemy sometimes.  Wth is embiid taking 6 threes, and jacking them up when the game was still to be decided?  I used to be really high on him, but it seems like his bbiq has taken a step back as his ego has gotten bigger.

Larkin has been huge. Hm...who should be cut out the guard rotation...
are you suggesting the celtics cutt off smart?

and your user name is celticsD?

Nah I'm not sayin that, but Smart is probably my least favorite Celtic to kick off the season. And my name is CelticD because my first name starts with a D lol

Did anything come of that little shove thing he did to Baynes at the half or did he just get away with that?

I'm still not impressed by Ben Simmons.

IMO they misuse him.  He's a secondary ball handler.  If they had a real PG running things and him playing off, he can do things.  He absolutely can not dribble the ball and run things like a PG.  Not remotely.  I hate how they do that with guys now.  You can just be a PF and be able to handle.  Worked for Barkley.

Nice, composed close to the game by Kyrie.

Gaining some confidence in him.

Horford, steady as always.  Clutch.

Larkin and Baynes look like useful role players to have.

Tatum, Brown, rough but talented.  Rozier continues to look pretty good.

Theis, Yabu, Nader, Bird .... hopefully we won't need to play these guys anymore once Smart and Morris are back.

I actually like Theis. Bird brought a lot of energy and was a pest on D. He was a +12 in his 14 minutes and I felt the energy he and Rozier brought in that 3Q were critical.

That thought ran through my head as well but it’s just not fair to him with Hayward injury as well as whole new team. He’s being keyed on every time he gets in the paint.
