It will be curious how the voters go this year. Do they rely on statistics, team success, or a balance of the two. Jokic and Embiid scratch off both categories, but Embiid has missed nearly a third of the teams games. However, I’m not sure any player has had as much of an impact on his team’s success than Chris Paul this season. The Suns had the second worst record in the league two years ago. Last season, they finished 5 games under .500. This season, they add Paul, and have the second best record in the league, and only 1.5 games back from first. The jump the team made this season is too significant to ignore.
BTW, when it comes to the 76ers, Doc may be their MVP.
