saw this ticking on ESPN, thought I'd share

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4392828

long story short, he admits to sleeping with and paying for the abortion of a child of a woman who has been charged with trying to extort money from him... very strange story

You just beat me to this!

Poor Rick.  I had such respect for him when he first started in Boston.

Looking at her picture too it seems like he could have done much better.  There must be better talent at Louisville than that!

to be fair:

if I was 50 and coming home to that, I wouldn't complain (except for her being potentially insane)

If you're Rick Pitino you might not have to settle for a fifty year old though.

Now I hate Pitino more. He is such a loser. And a huge phoney

Why doesn't he take the advice of the cover of his book and choose to succeed? Why does he keep choosing to fail?

He's going to want us to believe this was a one time thing out of character for him too I bet.

If he thinks "forgiveness" and "understanding" are coming through that door he's got another thing coming...

Eh, I could care less about this.  I get the feeling this is the type of thing that goes on all the time with both coaches and players in both the pros and college.  He was just dumb enough to do it with the wrong woman.

I think this will blow over for the most part.

My perception of Rick Pitino changed for the worse when I learned of his admitted affair.

He was an aweful coach & judge of NBA talent for the Celtics, heck he traded Chauncy Billups before the end of his first season with the Celtics & we know what kind of player he turned out to become.

When I saw the headline, "Pitino says he paid for an abortion," my first reaction was, "That's kind of a harsh thing to say about the Travis Knight contract."

Hey-yo!

Hysterical!

I normally really hate when I hear someone use that whole "through the door" shtick since I think back to him.  But here it is perfectly appropriate  :)

On ATH, Blackistone is saying he is expecting his resignation in the next couple days...what a jerk...

People need to chill out. Yeah, adultery is not a good thing and abortions are controvertial- but he really didn't do anything illegal (except for maybe that the sex was in an empty restaurant).

Pitino failed while he was in Boston, but I don't hate him for that- and I don't hate him for this either. Other than the face that woman was trying to extort him for millions of dollars, I don't really consider this news. I guess maybe I have just been around the block a few times...
