too much money too many knuckle heads coming into the league. This way the teams can at least have some idea who they are partnering with ...since it now a partnership between investors and players. Rolling iiis!!

What’s this going to solve?

Do you think Anthony Davis would fail?

....and if he did, you’re saying you wouldn’t draft him?

Completely different games. You have to be fairly intelligent to know everything you have to to get good at doing your job in football. Football is much more structured with exact extensive responsibilities based on the size of the playbook.

Basketball is a much more individualized sport with tons of freedom to just "wing" it. Getting all the playbook down and learning sets is much easier in the NBA than the NFL and you have the ability to just go off script whenever you want.

I think teams already spend a great deal of time and resources on evaluating players from a psychological and personality perspective in addition to other more traditional scouting methods.

We should administer the wonderlck on this site.  This thread wouldn’t exist.

The wonderlic is really about how quickly you can process information.  It's somewhat useful for evaluating quarterbacks in football, but less useful for other positions.  Not sure how useful it would be in the NBA.

The Wonderlic doesn't predict behavior.  As Nick said, it's useful for the NFL because of the large complicated playbooks, but I don't see the value for basketball.

You didn’t answer my question.

If Anthony Davis bombed the test, would you not draft him?

Forget the test, every GM in the NBA would still draft Davis #1 overall even if they knew he was gonna pull the stunt he did this year because at the end of the day, New Orleans still had an MVP caliber player to build around for 6 years.

Sorry to make this all about AD but that’s clearly the root of this thread

too much money too many knuckle heads coming into the league. This way the teams can at least have some idea who they are partnering with ...since it now a partnership between investors and players. Rolling iiis!!

I think the OP  who spelled it wrong in this thread needs to take the test because he does not know how to spell it's wonderlic
