This is a big move for the Celts,  but it also makes Jaylen somewhat redundant.  Maybe he really is on the trade block for Davis.

I don't think a 10 day contract guy has any effect on Jaylen.

Yeah but with Jarell Eddie, do we really even need Davis?

Nope, Jaylen's definitely on the move. Rumor is that they're already calling him Wally Pipp in the locker room. Current rumor is Brown, Tatum and a future first to BKN for Okafor and Spencer Dinwiddie.

yes I am lazy.

Depends on how long the player has been in the NBA. For 1st year, they generally get paid $30,888 on average.

From Hoopsrumors.com,

"Veterans with more than two years of NBA experience would earn more than $57,672 on a 10-day contract, but the league would pay the extra freight."

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?

What's the over/under on how many times Tommy calls him "Eddie Jarell"?

Appreciate it!

Although, I do think Jarell Eddie is gonna stay on our roster for the time being. He's an excellent catch and shoot sniper, I remember vaguely 2-3 years ago (?) that he was in the top 7 for 3P %.

His size and wingspan should be able to allow him to pay the 3 and 4 in short spurts.

From his highlights, he has good shooting form on his 3 point shots, and a fairly quick release.  doesn't hurt to bring him in that's for sure.  and we get a new guy to root for.

I am more interested in what DA is going to do with the DPE.

I agree, it is not redundant at all because this guy is not the player of Jaylen's caliber and the whole premise of Tarheel's statement makes me wonder if the Tar is not on his heel and more in an area dedicated to rational thinking.
