What a strange game that UNC BC one was today.  Couldn't score a lick in the first half either team.  UNC takes control over the second half, but BC gets back in it in a blink of an eye with their three ball and loses on an rimmed out three by Reggie Jackson.

This doesn't have to do with the UNC BC game, but IMO I'm kind of dissapointed with college basketball this year.  It seems really really down.

Even though making the college game is not the responsibility of the NBA, but making the NBA better is, which I think this would do.  I hope that the NBA puts in a rule that either you enter the draft out of high school or if you go to college you have to stay after 3 years or until you are 21.

Yeah, I completely agree ... some people think otherwise, but I believe the level of competition in the NCAA has dropped off with the direct-from-high school rulings, and I really hope it changes, and that it's done in a way that rewards players for staying in college. I know and understand the other side of the equation, and that some kids want to improve the lives of their families and themselves financially, but I really feel like staying in school is better in the long run, and that college ball has suffered of late.

PSU's Taylor Battle just became the first player in Big Ten history to go for 2000,500,500 in a career.

Other players to do it include but not limited to

Speedy Claxton
Danny Ainge
Jameer Nelson

Taylor Battle is nasty.  Saw him play against my Rhody Rams in the NIT a few years ago.  Kid's nasty.

Is it too soon to officially declare my basketball man-crush on Kendall Marshall?

This guy Jimmer......drops 52 on New Mexico yesterday...it will be interesting to see him adjust to the NBA, but this man's a player for sure.

And Kemba Walker??

Kemba Walker reminds me a lot of an OJ Mayo-type: he's talented enough to make good money and put up good numbers in the NBA, but I don't know if his game is conducive to helping a team win meaningful games.

And no, I'm not just saying that as a bitter Syracuse fan  ;)

EDIT: Oh yeah, but that move on McGee was genuinely sick.  An NBA defense switches back on that or brings the double, though.

Good Point...good analysis of Kemba.

I bet 'Cuse still gets a decent seeding, though. Sunday's selection committee will be interesting.

Hoping for a 3 seed, but I think a 4 is more likely.

And I've still got my #2 team UNC to root for, so all's well.  My favorite time of basketball season, no offense to the NBA.

Yeah, that upset win over Duke was huge for UNC. Now that's a rivalry almost as deep as LA - Boston.

Washington upsets Arizona in OT on Isiaih (sp?) Thomas' game winner at the buzzer.  Beautiful shot and beautiful way to win for the little guy.  Pretty fun game, but Washington was frustrating to watch at times (dribbling out the clock, not making any FTs...).
Celtics fan for life.
