Do the Celtics do a trade before the trade deadline?

Yes
No

Yes , since Kyrie is leaving Nets , and not in hunt for a chip

Maybe we could take a player or two of their hands

Like …  :P

Kevin Durant  ;D

What about TJ Warren?  He’s on a $2.6 million one year deal.
A second rounder might do it if the Nets accept that their season is over.  He could be the backup wing we need to reduce the J’s minutes.
That's a good one tp

I'll also give a TP to you both. I like that idea  ;D

I do believe we will make a trade

It won't be a Poeltl/OG kind of expensive or flashy one, but someone in that Naz Reid/PJ Washington sort of grouping which would still be a great addition.

We could also target someone from the buyout market too. Barton would be my choice if he is bought out, though it's expected he will be barring another trade he's packaged in.

Brad Stevens has shown he's aggressive with this sort of stuff and I do think he'll trade for someone, while also monitoring the buyout market if something emerges

My preference as well.

Ainge seems to be packaging Vanderbilt with Beasley. We don’t have the salary to match without including White, which I would oppose.

I'm not sure we even make a move or need to make a move.

I don’t think they will.

This would really be a sweet trade deadline deal.

Nets are supposedly building around Durant.  moving TJ would go against that notion.  can't see them trading him much less trading him to the C's.

Actually I did some reading and it looks like the Nets are high on TJ. The likelihood of them trading him is pretty much nil, specially under a cheap contract.

Could we get Romeo Langford back from the Spurs or is there some restriction to trading him back to the celtics? He could fit into the TPE and be the wing depth we need. Him or JRich.

Makes no sense to trade him. If he can get back to 80-90% of what he was, that’s a starting caliber player.

No matter what I always find the week before the deadline interesting.  Not only the speculation and seeing what other teams do, but just the thought each time I open CS that there could be exciting news. It’s a good week.

Yeah it's exciting. And not to sound like I'm bashing Ainge, but at least with CBS you have the feeling they'll actually do something. With Ainge it usually was standing pat (or making a tiny trade to either trade away salary or offload someone) and keeping all our assets.

Yeah, it's like a Christmas that may or may not come!
