Hopefully this doesn’t instill too much overconfidence for them.

Huge grain of salt beating them without Durant, Simmons, and Warren

One of these things is not like the other.

Despite the big early lead, the team kept playing (reasonably) hard and won every quarter.

They made their shots and played solid defense.

Tough stretch coming up before the all-star break. In the next 2 weeks we have the Suns, Sixers, Grizzlies and Bucks.

Even though we both can't stand Kyrie my wife said during the game "At least they don't say Kyrie sucks anymore". And then it happened at the end of the game. I agree with her that we need to drop that and stop making him feel like he is important and that we miss him. We don't. He is nothing to us anymore. We say nothing and he feels like he has lost.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Whatever KG and Pierce told them yesterday, it worked. TPs for a satisfying demolition of Kyrie's team!

Did they meet with the team or something?

Well when you shoot 50% from 3 and keep the other team to below 30% you're not going to lose many games, and credit to them for going on and burying a conference rival.

I saw it on social media- they were interviewing Jason, Marcus, Jalyen.

That’s an awesome picture. Tp for sharing. I love that KG and Pierce have stayed so close over the years. Paul has mentioned that he sees Kevin almost every week.

If KG and PP were in their prime; that’d be a hell of a starting 5.  :D

Love to see that.  I think Pierce and Garnett can have a big impact on our young players.  There are things they can say and be listened to that even the coach can't.  The coach can only do so much.  This type of mentorship or whatever is also needed and can make a big difference under the right circumstances.  I think these current circumstances apply.

Kevin Garnett 6'-11"?  Yeah, right.

Yeah, we were up by 40.  Sometimes you've got to let the scoreboard do the taunting.  I was disappointed the fans went with that chant at the end.
