Hauser replacement on the way...

Gary Washburn: G-League Maine has added NBA veteran Tony Snell to its roster. #Celtics.  – via Twitter GwashburnGlobe

Who has the fireworks emoji?

Kidding aside, Tony Snell is a career 39% 3pt shooter.  Only 31 years old.  Started over 300 NBA games.  Hasn't missed a free throw since 2019 (really).  What happened to him?  I remember him being in the McCollum trade but then I don't know.  Worth a G-League look I would say.

Yeah, I always thought he was a decent bench player. He’s younger than I thought, too. Had been in the league for a long time.

I find this completely unsurprising.

Jared Weiss: Marcus Smart asked for a timetable on returning from what he said was an ankle bone bruise: “None. I’m hoping for a week or two, but who knows? I (don’t) want to go out there and rush back and then we’re in the same predicament a couple months from now, a couple days from now.” 15 hours ago – via Twitter JaredWeissNBA

Feels like we’ll see him again after the All-Star break, because might as well let him use that to get back to 100%.  It looked really bad when he went down, so if he misses three weeks of games, I’ll count that as a win.  Lets us showcase Pritchard a bit ahead of the trade deadline also.  I never like to see an injury, but the timing could be a lot worse.

Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown finished third in the guard voting in the East and is a virtual lock to appear in his second All-Star Game. Once Brown is selected, he will earn a $1.5 million bonus as long as he appears in 65 games this regular season. He has missed only six games thus far. Because Brown earned the bonus last season, it is deemed likely and has no impact on the Celtics’ current projected $58.9 million luxury-tax penalty. – via Brian Windhorst @ ESPN

What do you think those numbers represent? 3,691 million would be billions... Same for 5,035 million...

Right, not a lot of attempts but spread over parts of 5 seasons.  4 straight full seasons without missing one, with at least 1 attempt per season.  Has to be an NBA record.

Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford and Robert Williams III has played a mere 29 minutes together this season.

That’s wild.
