He should be suspended for sure and if I was the AD, I would not have him back as a coach.  Michigan can find a suitable replacement easily enough.  I don't feel he shoujld be banned for life or anything like that.  He can take some anger management courses and start fresh somewhere else.  Just not at Michigan.

I mean, at this point given his track record, I wouldn’t want him coaching my team.

But I feel termination might be a bit much.  I think suspending him for the season, including the tournament is an appropriate punishment.  I do understand if Michigan wants to let him go though considering this is again showing a pattern of behavior

He basically pulled a Norman Dale and needs to go coach 1950s Indiana high school ball to rehabilitate his reputation.

Kinda dig it. Stick up for your guys. The opposing coach was quite obviously being antagonistic, too.

Howard didn’t need to throw hands but he definitely had a point.  The other coach’s excuse for the TO was beyond lame.

the badger assistant with the German name was pushing Michigan players prior to the Juwan slap/push of him.

I'm surprised by the rhetorical pearl clutching.  In a heated moment, amidst a bunch of pushing and shoving, a man cuffed another man.  To me, that's not really a termination worthy offense.

I mean, this happened three days ago:

Nobody is calling for anybody's head there.

I don’t know how anyone can watch that and conclusively say anyone was shoving anyone

Hahaha - wow what? :)

Gouki just saying what some of us are thinking.

.edit: goes without saying that it's a BAD thing that we treat people differently based on the colour of their skin. but to ignore that it happens would be wrong.

If you refuse to acknowledge the double standards for what is acceptable for white men compared to black men that's on you, not me.

Howard has always been a hotheaded manchild, dating back to the Fab 5 days. If this was an isolated incident I'd say a decent suspension is well enough, but at this point it's blatantly clear he can't control his emotions.

Also his postgame interview made him look like a clown. Just apologize and say you let your emotions get the best of you, rather than make crappy excuses about how he was protecting himself.

They both did themselves no favors with their pressers.  Someone needed to remind Gard that we have the whole thing on tape
