A lot of you guys are going to love Brown.  This reaction is very silly.
hes got some size and he's 19.  I'm happy with it.  I heard he's a poor man's Winslow.  Ainge obviously wanted a guy like that.

I really didn't want to take some 23 year old 6'3 player.   We are good on little guys.

Im happy with Brown, The Cs will probably end up with another top 3 pick this time next year... its not the end of the world

That is exactly how ownership wants you to think. Every move is acceptable every year because the team can always try again next season.

Wyc basically said there are no trades going on, they didn't work out.

They never do.

I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football.

Funny how often we hear that from Wyc. Seems like the other 29 teams are always trying to take advantage of us.

The problem must be the other 29 teams in the league, right Wyc?  ::)

Funny how Dunn is now at 5th pick...too much Dunn, Dunn, Dunn and of course Celtics and Suns don't pick him..Bender talk was quiet as a mouse over past week...Knew he was gonna get snagged no later than 5...

Danny puts a lot of power in the personal workouts...No doubt Brown won him over there in his killer workout...Bender must have laid a big egg this past Tuesday in Boston...
most of the stuff you read heading into the draft is nonsense.  The Dunn as consensus 3rd best player narrative happened out of nowhere.  A week ago it was established that it was a crap shoot.

I never bought it or agreed with it.  I just thought other teams loved him so much Ainge could leverage that or even would go as far as to take him and do so after the draft.  But I always wanted Chriss and then Brown so I'm very happy.  Brown fits Stevens so well.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Love the Jaylen Brown pick. Total swing for the fences pick, but a lot to be optimistic about.

This guy can slash to the rim and get to the line, that's a skill that would translate to the pros. Physical tools to develop into an insane defender, capable of defending all positions. Good size.

Excited.

I am happy with him.  From what I've seen and heard about him, we won't have to worry about off the court stuff like would would from an Okafor and Noel.  The knock on him was shooting and he seems to have worked on that.  His workout numbers were on par with Wiltjer who I think is the best shooter in the draft.

Every team in the league is better at drafting than us.

So, if Philly doesn't get a pg prospect, do we offer up Rozier and 16 for him? Would they bite?

Am I the only one who noticed Wyc said they had things lined up for later in the draft if they wanted but they were going to see how things played out???

Hey if ainge likes jaylen Brown more than Noel + Covington + two late 1sts, he must be pretty special.

So I'm cool with it.   Looking forward to the next few years of waiting to see him take a leap.

^this.

no reason to lose faith in a pick from the first 30 mins...

remember how disappointed ppl were when we drafted Rozier and he turned out OK.

This thread should be saved. There are going to be a LOT of people on this thread who will be sorely embarrassed by their remarks tonight.

Then again, it's easy to point fingers if you don't share your own opinion

Please go search the "final draft poll" from earlier today. I predicted the Cs would take Brown.

Thanks for playing but you lost. Have a nice day!
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Brown really could end up being one of the three best players in this draft.

Question he has to answer is, can he get by NBA guards and wings, or will he only be able to score against bigs? Also, who does he defend at next level? If he can switch onto guards and wings and hold his own against smaller frontcourt players, he could be something.

Or he might be a shorter Harrison Barnes.
