Quote
James seemed to be checking out his sore right elbow after attempting to draw a charge on Rondo in the first half and rarely seemed in the attack mode that carried him to 38 points in Game 3"

So I guess the C's D had nothing to do with him not being able to get to the rim huh? ESPN is such a joke at this point . TA played grear D on lebron and all of our bigs were great with the 2nd line of defense.

Yeah, saw that line in the game recap too, it made me smile.

But frankly - so far of course - I think we've avoided the "elbow excuse". I didn't recall the announcers mentioning it at all during the game, even when it was obvious the Cavs were going to lose it or when LeBron missed shots so... it was kind of a miracle not to hear about "the elbow". But they will probably talk about it more in the off days before game 5.

LBJ did have some nice things to say about rondo after the game.

WOW. Really? He drops 38 2 days ago and is obviously fine, then he doesn't play so well and somehow he's magically "hurt" again?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Elbow injuries are notoriously tricky.

For those that think ESPN hates the Celtics (the same crowd that believes all the games are fixed, no doubt), I hope JVG's incessant, historical-style praise of Rondo was sufficient. Lots of complaints the previous few games. Might as well acknowledge the other side of the story.

Three off days between game 2 and game 3.

One off day between game 3 and game 4.

It's possible that the time between the games means LBJ can (or cannot) get his elbow ready to go for the next game.

The fact that he's been able to put it together for at least a quarter each game and the fact that all the "tests" they keep running keep showing no damage, make me believe that this is all a bunch of crap.

My theory as well.

Either you guys fail at reading comprehension, or you are reading a different excerpt than me.

No where in that article did I see anything resembling an excuse for Lebron's mediocore performance.  Referencing to a hard collision involving a player with a previously known injury is standard protocol.  There was no connection made between his elbow and his performance.

The only talk I'm hearing nowadays about the elbow is from Celtics fans.  Maybe it's time you guys got past it - everyone else has.
