On a lesser note....

Anderson Varejao (back) went through practice and is expected to play in Game 3 tomorrow. #cavs     about 2 hours ago  via TweetDeck

So more or less, the Cavs will be at full strength. Good. :)

I'd expect Brian Windhorst to at the very least follow up BallinEurope.com's old report that you posted there. He didn't. Who should I trust, the Brian Windhorst the Cavs Insider or the site that's supposedly not even stationed in America?!

If Cavs win, then Lebron overcame the almost deadly injury and he's the new superhero, just above spiderman and slightly below superman. If they lose, then of course it's all his elbows falt. It's just not possible that Celtics defense did a good job or god forbid his highness had a bad game.

Firstly, he had one of his MRI's "cancelled" by the Cavs training staff.

Secondly, we're all making way too much of this elbow injury. The fact that this thread exists means we're feeding into it.

It's a strained elbow with a bone bruise...nothing more and nothing less.

Lastly, this is obvious but I'm still going to say it...an MRI is a big deal to an average person/citizen. It means something hurts, something could be wrong, a visit to a hostpital/private specialist will be made, money will be spent, and anxiety will kick in after said MRI.

However, to an NBA player getting an MRI is much like using the toilet...it's quick, the machinery is right there in the locker room/trainer's area, it's free, and no special trips need to be made.

I"m sureu Pierce had MRI's on his knee/elbow more often than we heard about this season and in previous seasons as well.

Remember when he had his knee/elbow drained during the all-star break this year? I'm sure that was because of something that showed up on an MRI.

Anyways, the OP makes a great point...Lebron should be more dangerous with a damaged elbow because it means he SHOULD be taking higher % shots closer to the basket. That won't be the case because of the Celtics' strong defensive structure and efforts.

Oh come on. Everyone knows  Superman <<< Spidey  ;D He thinks wearing dorky glasses is a good disguise for heaven's sakes. And his nemesis has no superpowers. You'd think he would have squashed him like a bug by now.

Meh is really all I say to all this elbow drama. He is shooting just under 50% in this series so far which has to better than what he's done against competent defenses in the playoffs. Have people forgotten some of the ghastly shooting numbers he's put up in the past? Whether he'll become consistently aggressive remains to be seen but it'd take more than a few pedestrian games to make me wonder if this is even an issue and not a routine playoff performance.
