great to look at, don't get me wrong. but unless they were joking, or it is april fools and i missed it, she will be announcing the celtics-nets game on saturday.

this is a very red sox-esque thing to do, and even though i am a red sox fan, i do not mean that in a positive way.

nothing to do with gender, like many said on here the other day, doris burke does a great job on hoops. but this is a terrible idea. there are tons of qualified fill ins out there if tommy or donny cannot do it. why not give a young announcer their big break? thumbs down to comcast sports net. this is a terrible decision, and although saturday afternoon at new jersey is not exactly a ratings bonanza, to me, it is a slap in the face to celtic fans.

She is a legit fan who is pretty knowledgable, heard her talk C's a few times and she knows her stuff. She may not be on his level as a fan but look at her as a female Donnie Wahlberg. We will see how she does, but i dont really have a problem with it.

I can see where you guys are coming from with the pessimistic standpoints. But, in my scrupulous
opinion, (as much as I love Mike), think it would be an interesting, and perhaps scintillating idea for Maria to do play-by-play for a game. Plus, Nets games can get boring so maybe she can make it just a little more interesting . Good luck Maria!

I give her credit, Maria is a knowledgeable fan but she tends to get over excited and her voice just becomes grating & unbearable.
