The more I read this thread, the stronger I feel about my belief that 'underrated' and 'overrated' categories are silly. Seeing people who are constantly hyped like David Lee and who fans seem to rate extremely high...

Deron Williams? He is usually considered the class of the league with Paul. He didn't make the all star game last year because he was hurt the first half of the season. That doesn't mean he is underrated.

And underrated by whom?

I'd put Wilson Chandler as most. 

I've always thought Pau was very much so.

What about Rafer Alston??  He's been getting very little love after doing a tremendous job this postseason with Orlando...

durant came into the league as perhaps one of the most polished offensive players in recent memory
he cannot however play any defense at all

This one is easy, it's Rondo. The guy was amazing in the playoffs this year and he's just warming up. You hear all of the "he cant shoot" stuff and other drawbacks but let's face it, the guy is good and quickly approaching bettr then good. I have said it before and I will say it again, he will influence the outcome of more Celtics game this year then any other player on the team. That includes a healthy KG. I also said that I wouldnt trade him straight up for Chris Paul and I meant that too. Call me crazy, and I know some of you will, but I do belive Rondo will be a great player before he is through. Great players do not come along often and he is going to be great.
