A reason for that?

honest to god....i have no idea.  he has skills, doesnt talk about the mainstream type garbage, is unique....all qualities i like in an emcee.

i just dont feel it.  if i listen to him, i dont automatically bob my head. i respect him, just dont feel him.

if that makes any sense, lol

Agree completley. I love the messages in his songs, but I dont feel him. I think hes missing the flow. He can spit it though. Already Home on BP3 is the best track.

I'm up and down on him. I like him a lot,but at the same time I feel he's definitely a little overrated. Sometimes with his songs I feel like I'm looking for the extra depth that might not actually be there. If you look for something hard enough you'll find it even if it isn't actually there (if that makes sense).

(Since were talking about Jay-Z and the Blueprint)I'm not going to lie every time I listen to  Blue Print 2 and here these bars I think of Lupe.

"Cause the ****** wear a coofie, it dont mean that he bright
Cause you dont understand him, it dont mean that he nice
It just means you dont understand all the bull**** that he write"

...I really do like Lupe though.

Already Home huh?  My favorite is Venus Vs. Mars.  Especially this verse.

Thought Shawty was the truth, found out she was a cheater,
we were supposed to takeover, I caught her bumping Ether!
I thought shawty like Mike, found out she like Prince,
thought she was Adrian, it’s been Rocky ever since,
My dollars was down, she left me for some Euro’s,
Took my whole flavour, I call her coke zero,
Co-MVP like Kobe and Shaq,
left me for the Heat,
we were winning back to back,
said I partied too much, shawty got fed up,
shawty got Britney shaved her whole head up,
we used to make out, kissing each others face off,
Fell for the ponzi scheme, [dang] shawty just Made-off.

I mean he brought Bernie Madoff into rap.  That's ridiculous.
do it
