Not sure he is what we need. More of a PF/C than a PF/SF similar to Horford. Better than Kornet I suppose.

And really more of a PF than a C. More of a one position guy. Does not have the shot-blocking / rim protection of a center. Better when he plays alongside a true center.

If we were going to spend a first on someone, I'd rather it be someone with a more divergent skill-set than the current guys. An athletic SF/PF. Not a much worse version of a guy who currently performs ths same role (Horford).

The Celtics would not be able to sign Gordon Hayward if he was bought out by the Hornets.

Boston, or any other team over the tax apron, can only sign a buyout player if they made less than $12.4 million (equivalent to Non-Tax MLE) on their previous contract.
