Moving up sounds awesome. But we all know how this will end. Boston stays put, picks at least two more young players and maybe a stash.

Danny will say he tried. Trying to make good deals. Blah blah blah

Hard to imagine they can get to the top three using Hayward, Walker, and their picks -- so yes, you're likely right.

IF THEY DID succeed.... it's hard to figure out who they'd be targeting in trade other than Harden (which I hope is not the case).

Go for LaMello Ball.  He has the most upside. The one guy who could be elite.

Does Smart and all the picks land us a top 3 pick?

Danny is working hard to convert either Hayward or Walker plus the 14 for a top 3 pick.
Then try to snatch Wiseman.

This is my ultimate guess

Probably like a 5 percent chance of succeeding

Tom Westerholm just posted a useless article on this topic....

Hard to see who in the top 3 makes sense: Minny isn't trading us the #1 pick. What of ours (we'd actually trade) would Golden State want? Would Charlotte want Kemba back? Would Hayward even go there (considering his option)? Would either of those plus our picks even get that done?

At 4, maybe Kemba plus our 3 1sts net the Bulls pick? Doubt it but seems a little more feasible.

Hope Danny plans to flip the top 3 pick for a star. I'm not high on any of the top prospects.

Someone up there must fit well with Tatum and Browns title window.

If Danny wants to move into the top 3, Brown has to be on the table. What other assets do the Celtics have, to warrant even having the discussion? Picks 14, 26, and 30 combined may be able to get as high as 9.
Come on. There isn't a single team in the NBA that wouldn't rather have Brown than the #1 pick in this draft.

If DA wants to move up to top 3, then those teams really don't like what is available and are willing to get out for 75 cents on the dollar.

Buyer beware.

Maybe, but I tend to trust Ainge's top 3 picks.

Danny has to stop being cute and just randomly select 3 names... he may get lucky finally
All the wheeling and dealing he does on draft nights amounts to nothing in the end

Yep.

Fultz for Tatum and Langford.

Draft night deal amounts to nothing.

That was not a draft night trade and he had a lot more clarity on the lakers and Philly goals in the draft.

Hayward goes tonight in a sign and trade to GSW for Wiggins and #2
Wiggins then gets flipped to NYK or Detroit along with 14, 26 and 30 for their pick.

We will be drafting at 2, 7/8, and 47

I think that is the ultimate goal

Okongwu and Haliburton/Hayes
'21 Historical Draft
PG: Kyle Lowry / Mookie Blaylock / Mark Jackson
SG: Reggie Miller / Jeff Hornacek / Nick Anderson
SF: George Gervin / George McGinnis / Kyle Korver
PF: Connie Hawkins / Serge Ibaka / Josh Smith
C: Clint Capela / Bill Laimbeer / Jusuf Nurkic

Danny is a great drafter when he has really high picks. He isn’t very good in the middle and lower as he was last year and as he is this year. Still baffled at picking Romeo last season.

I never trust DA in the draft because he has twice the bad moves in the overall draft.
