I hope not for Ball (though I'm begrudgingly willing to root for him.....hehe).  I hope not for Wiseman (my unfounded fears)....I hope for Edwards or for Okongwu.  I would also consider sending pick 3 to NY for pick 8 and 23 (newly acquired), to rebuild a better bench for Boston, but I'm sure the C's don't want so many new players.  At 8 I'd take either P. Williams, Vassell, or Halliburton.  At 23 stash Maledon.

Brown should be able to get us into top 3... do it Danny! We need more picks lol

This is an incredibly weak and uncertain draft. I think Ainge would be insane to give up significant assets to move up into the top 3.
I think you are just as lucky striking gold on picks 7-20 then you are 1-5.

It's a weird draft with no clear cut Top 10 in talent alone. With such a pick, I can see Ainge taking:

Wiseman
Okongwu
Vassell
Okoro (who rumor has it they love)
Haliburton
Toppin

I know that's a wide list but none would surprise me. BUT -- this is more likely to trade it than actually pick.

For Danny to seek a pick in the top 3 must mean:

1.  He likes more than one (or even more than 2) of the alleged top 3 (Ball, Edwards, Wiseman)

2.  He wants Okongwu

3.  He wants to trade down from top 3 into 5-10 range, such as getting 8 and 23 from NY.

Very likely such a pick would be to trade to another team.

THe feeling on other boards is that the attempt to get into the top 3 indicates they are trying to flip that in a trade.

Is the distaste for Lamelo mostly about the dad-circus, or about his play?  I haven't seen much of him, but a 6'7" PG with skills is a pretty intriguing thought for this team.

If Danny wants to move into the top 3, Brown has to be on the table. What other assets do the Celtics have, to warrant even having the discussion? Picks 14, 26, and 30 combined may be able to get as high as 9.
