Mourinho is such a lucky ****. Barcelona also have an easy group. Group D is funny.

Arsenal, Fener and Kiev...doable.

Arsenal are nothing. I think you can take 4 points off them.

Liverpool I think also have a tricky group. Yet again Chelsea have an easy group. Bayern and Lyon will qualify from their group.

Question for you, how do Porto fans feel about Mourinho?

Most of us feel gratitude and admiration, obviously. When Chelsky played here he got a standing ovation from the supporters. Although he's not an idol or loved like some former coaches, say, Sir Bobby Robson or Artur Jorge (the guy who was the coach when we won our first CL). There's a good deal of indifference. There's also a minority who really dislikes him (and it's mutual). A very small minority, but a very vocal one (the "ultras"). It all began with a sordid story, too sordid to be told here. But yeah, apart from those nutjobs, fans like him, but don't really love him. There was never that kind of connection, don't know exactly why.  I'm just hoping he takes Quaresma out of our hands for €25M or something.  That would do wonders for his reputation.

Interesting, I've always wondered what fans thought after he just left and didn't celebrate after winning the CL with Porto.

Meh... by that time we already knew he wasn't staying. It was kind of rude of him, but not exactly a shock. Just Mourinho being Mourinho. It'd be different if it was Baia not celebrating.

Quote
As for Quaresma, good player but come on, €25M? He's not that good.

Exactly. That's why I think it's a fair price. ;)

How do you feel ACF? I'm pretty content. Celtic will be tricky, and a bittersweet tie for you in United-AaB.

I'm a Copenhagen fan through and through
so it's okay  :) I think AaB will be able
to get some points in Group E all the same.
It will be fun to see how it turns out.

Copenhagen just beat Lillestrøm
of Norway 4-2 and 7-3 on aggregate
so I'm one happy camper.
I know, it's the UEFA Cup but it's
just fine by me anyway  :)

First of all even the thought that i`m a fan of olympiacos is an insult  ;D I (and countless more) was very happy !

Olympiacos in Greece enjoys unbelievable favoritism from the refs. The players are used to getting help when they can`t beat the opponent which is not the case European tournament. After the game Jorgevic complained about the refs and the commentator was very frustrated because "This german ref plays 50-50". Of course he doesn`t like it... He wants 80-20 !!!

Anyway back to the CL.

I like Arsenal. But they over do it with the passes. And they luck experience imho. Interesting team to watch but that`s it. Won`t won anything this season.

The luckiest and unluckiest at the same team is bate borisov. I`m 100% they are unbelievably happy to play with the big boys. These games will pretty possibly be the highlight of their carriers. They`ll have to chance to play against huge names like Real and Juve and visit legendary stadiums like Bernabeu. But at the same time they risk breaking the record for most conceded goals....

not looking forward to this CL because my team Milan didnt qualify.
but i will be watching most of the games.

i think that the 4 teams that might win it: real, Inter, Man U, and Chelsea.

liverpool always seem to perform well, but i dont think they have a good team, over achieved last few yrs. Arsenal is too young and not very deep as someone mentioned earlier

Do you see any 3rd or 4th seed teams qualifing as 2nd or even 1st?

Panathinaikos is one possibility (against werder)and at the 3rd group Sporting Shahtar and Basel can take any position under Barcelona

Why, thanks, cordobes  ;)
Yeah, I do hope so as well.
FCK (Copenhagen) seem to be
better at finishing than what
they've been for years. They've
been playing Chelsea for quite
some time now: Winning boring
1-0 matches and I don't like that.
But now they have Brazilians like
Ailton, Junior and Cesar Santin
and those are guys that can truly
make a difference in a game. They
also have Canadian Atiba Hutchinson
so I expect a little love from our
Canadian posters here at CB  ;)

I`m a proud supporter of ,the completely unknown to non volleyball fans team , Iraklis Thessaloniki.

Ailton is the same as the well known fat guy from Bundesliga?

Werder Bremen will qualify, no question. As for any other 3rd or 4th seed, I see Atletico as a possibility of finishing behind Porto and Arsenal on their way out.

Also Celtic, they could easily finish 1-2 in that group. Likely 2.

You mean this team:

In a perfect world these two
teams would square off in the
CL Final EVERY year:

Just kidding.
I do like their colors and logos  ;D

Wow, to be fair that's an Old Firm game, a little bit more riding on it than tonight. But wow, that made even my hairs stand up. 65,000+ people in unison singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Celtic, in my opinion have the greatest football fans of any club in Europe. Never violent, always friendly and always behind their team. The UEFA Cup Final in Seville in 2003 proved that when over 200,000 fans were in the city and not one arrest was made, no acts of violence or vandalism (it must be the Irish connection). On the other hand, dozens of arrests were made last year when Rangers lost their UEFA Cup Final to Zenit St. Petersburg. Completely contrasting teams and fans.

Hats off to Celtic, although here's hoping we destroy them in a few weeks.
