Well, I guess time will tell.

I don't think anything is going to happen tonight as far as the C's are concerned and I'll turn on the TV at 10:30 in anticipation of the 58th pick in the 2009 NBA draft.

Read it carefully;

"Celtics general manager Danny Ainge acknowledged via text message tonight that he doesn't expect his franchise to make any trades to get into the first round, acquire a second round pick or to get a player. Boston currently only has the 58th overall pick in the second round."

Buying a first rounder is not the same thing as "making a trade to get into the first round."

If Ainge can purchase a first rounder to draft Calathes, he should do it (although why anyone would sell a first with Calathes still on the board is beyond me).
