I start this every year.

Place your team as is in here and see what everyone else thinks.

For those who like to rank teams early, this is a good spot to put it.

Try and have fun.  Don't take it personal.  This is a good chance to sharpen your playoff arguments and find out what others really think of your team.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
All right, rip away

San Antonio Spurs:
PG: Russell Westbrook
SG: Arron Affalo
SF: Dorrell Wright
PF: Carlos Boozer
C:  Demarcus Cousins

Pro's: Young squad that likes to run, score from deep. Everyone on the floor is a threat to score, and while some are fairly limited scorers, at least 3 are able to create their own shot against most of the NBA.

Con's: Defense appears to be something that other teams do. Cousins I don't think is ready to be the anchor of a defense, and from there even the solid play from Westbrook and Afflalo isn't going to help much. Plus, no matter what Roy Hobbs says, Carlos Boozer is not a defensively viable power forward.

Final Judgement: I like the team, I could see them in the playoffs.

Is it weird that I no longer know what to expect from Danny Granger?

This is the bargain basement team of the league, not because they're all sub-par in quality, but because nearly all of them were drafted for extremely high value because they flew under the radar. Granger is coming off a bad year, Brandon Roy (unjustly) stole all the headlines in PDX, and Marcin Gortat was under the radar in Phoenix.

All three guys though are near the top of the pile at their respective positions, and that can't be forgotten.

Rookie question mark.

Outside of that, you have a contender being built.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Alright, here goes:

PG: Ty Lawson, Baron Davis (maybe not in that order. For questions, see my treatise on BDiddy in the draft thread).
SG: Stephen Jackson
SF: Nicolas Batum
PF: Dirk Nowitzki
C: DeAndre Jordan, Marcus Camby

CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Interesting frontcout.  Think it'll work.  Williams is a unknown quantity but I do think he was the best player in this year's draft.  He should get his points.  It'll be more interesting to see how he fares on the defensive end.   I'm so-so on Lowry.  It'll be interesting to see who you put out at SG.

Good start.

I'd be concerned about Andrew Bogut injuring his ankle.

You don't want to start Camby while you can?

Can Gordon carry enough of the offensive load come playoff time for this team to win?

I like all the players, but because of Duncan's slow down, offense might be really tough unless Holiday takes another huge step (which could happen like it did last year)

Can we instate a: If you post your team you must comment on someone elses rule?

Sure.

If you post your team, you've got to comment on two others.

There, I used my adult voice.

I think this team meshes well.  I love the frontcourt talent.  Gordon is the wildcard here coming off his injury woes.

I don't like Davis on this team.

I think you need a better 2nd option out there to open things up more for Dirk.  I don't see the explosive secondary scorer this years Mavs had.

Playoff team, no doubt.
