Good trade bait..better hurry up before he gets hurt tripping on a rug or something

Some guys just can't fart and chew bubble gum at same time. Baynes would fall under that category.

Capella for Baynes, Yabusele, and a 1st.  Works as long as we’re under the tax when the trade is made.

What part of Baynes opted in after he received assurances from Danny that he won't be traded this summer are people missing?  Assuming that's true, Danny won't go back on his word.

I don't recall Danny ever telling IT he wouldn't be traded or that ever being something that allegedly happened.

If Danny promised Baynes he wouldn’t trade him I expect he would keep that promise. It would destroy his credibility with players if he lied about something like that. It’s one thing to lie to the media, but I don’t think a GM would lie about that. Now, it depends on what was actually said, did he say he would not trade him or did he say there were currently no plans to trade him. The second statement leaves some wiggle room which Baynes and his agent would be well aware of.

there was no agreement that a trade wouldnt happen down the line.  it was a short-term agreement.

I would think that would mean the trade deadline is fair game
