all Melvin Ely needs is a suitcase,to go alone with all the steps he was taking in that last play.

My gosh, how many timeouts do these two teams have? There has to have been at least 6 timeouts used in the last two-three mintues. This is taking forever.

Ahh that's what good coaches do.  Save their timeouts for when they really matter, at the end of the game.  Considering there is two TV timeouts a quarter there really should only be one or two called before that last 3 minutes of the game.  Memo to Doc, if you had these timeouts you wouldn't have Rondo shooting airball 3s for your last possession.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Ginobili is out of control. Four first quarter turnovers and a bunch of other innaccurate passes which could have been turnovers. He needs to get it together.

Peja looks very comfortable with Manu defending him on the other end.

Spurs should be happy enough. They shot the ball poorly and managed to get a lead.

These teams are so good the game could turn in any two minute spell. Let's see where it goes from here.

Both teams struggling to get the ball to go in the hoop right now. Difference being the Hornets are getting good shots, Spurs aren't. Hornets will make a run soon.

The Spurs best players need to step up. Their team needs more from them. On a possession back there they had Udoka and Bowen creating off the dribble while Duncan and Parker stood aside. Finley has hesitated on almost every shooting attempt this quarter. Bad things here for San An.

Good, Kurt Thomas is back in. He led the charge in the first quarter.

It looked like a sparing match in the first half, feeling each other out.The Spurs had the opport.to take the game over a few times, but cant hit any consistent shots.

He was none too pleased about getting taken out in the 2nd.

I think he was just irritated by the dumb foul off the ball that he just gave away. He was scowling the whole way down before he found out he was coming out.

The Hornets have played much better basketball tonight. They're in great shape. The Spurs are in trouble, they need to get Manu or Tony going if they're to have any chance of winning this.

And can Pop please leave Brent Barry in there? 3 points and 2 assists in 3 minutes. He's your best shooter and you can't get anything but long jump shots. Leave him in. Great passer too.

Hornets were 4-6 from three in the first half. Spurs 3-14. Hornets are getting much easier shots. Spurs are being forced into long jumpers.

Would Pop please just put Bruce Bowen on Peja Stojakovic! Please! Bruce can take him out of the series. Nobody else on the Spurs can guard Peja.

Bruce can't stop Paul. He's making him work harder, he's not even limiting the man. Let Parker take him, Parker did a good job on Nash in the previous round. He's a solid defender.
