How would you rank the PGs in the playoffs based on what they have done this season as well as so far in the postseason and what impact they will have the rest of the way

my list would be

1. Paul
2. Williams
3. Nash
4. Billups
5. A. Miler
6. Tony Parker
7. Calderon
8. Rondo
9. Alston
10. Kidd
11. Farmar
12. Arenas
13. Anthony Carter
14. Delonte
15. Bibby
16. TJ Ford
17. Nelson

That was harder than I thought it would be. I think my 1-4 is not really debatable as far is whos in it (the order might be another story) but after that it got really tough.

Solely in terms of the post season you'd have to rank Rondo 3rd behind Paul & Williams (maybe tie him for 3rd with Parker?).  Rondo's been key in both wins.  Paul has been on another planet & Williams has been great too.
Yup

1. Paul
2. Williams
3. Parker
4. Nash
5. Miller
6. Billups (how do you let your team lose that game 1?)
7. Rondo
8. Calderon
9. Kidd
10. Nelson
off the charts bad: Mike Bibby

It's still so early, but Rondo's defense has put him in some heady company, and he's played better than Kidd and Bibby who both appear to be "shells of their former selves" as Couz described Bibby.  Kidd, however, can still run the break and get teammates easy looks.  Bibby's been useless so far.  Nash's defense continues to be atrocious. If it could be described as "poor to passable" he'd be so much better in the playoffs, but in the playoffs his lack of D is magnified so much.  Rondo, in a few years, might only trail Paul and Williams (maybe Parker) in the whole league, and might be the best defensive point of the 3.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
am I the only one who thinks that Rondo's silencing (metaphorically of course, he's had no trouble actually talking, its the scoring rondo stopped) of Bibby and his own stellar offensive play puts him above billups right now?

Two games into the postseason, absolutely.  I can't imagine Billups is going to keep playing so poorly though.

If we are going 'all-around' pg, you must factor in defense and rebounding.

1. Chris Paul

2. Steve Nash/Deron Williams
4. Chauncey Billups
5. Tony Parker
6. Rajon Rondo7. Baron Davis
8. Kidd
9. Andre Miller
10. TJ Ford/Calderon

I think some people have Parker too low. Parker took over at the end of game 2. I would have it so far at:

1 Paul
2 Williams
3 Parker
4 Nash
5 Rondo

Sorry, this was my draft, not sure how I posted both of them.  Oh, well.
